What is virtual instructor-led training?

The training is delivered live, in other words in real-time, by an instructor. It is very similar to what you would expect in terms of in-person training in a classroom or other environment, except that the training is conducted via a video conferencing platform, like Skype or Zoom. Trainers have shifted to this form of training because they are able to reach larger audiences.

Many trainers also choose this form of instruction and training because it does not require them to travel or seek accommodations in different areas where they plan to host training sessions. The recent pandemic has only accelerated this pivot because many had to shift to Virtual-led-training because of in-person health restrictions.

Virtual-led training sessions normally last in the range of right around one hour to sometimes two hours. Here are some of the benefits of virtual-led training:

• Trainers are able to engage with much larger audiences than in-person training sessions

• The amount of trainees that can attend a virtual training session is far larger than most in-person training events

• The cost of virtual training sessions is normally a lot cheaper for trainers

• Virtual sessions also save trainers in terms of the time they spend on the session (no travel), meaning they can also fit more courses into a session if they choose

• It opens up the opportunity for trainers to add extra value to their sessions (Elearning modules, forums, resource libraries, etc.), this also means more revenue for trainers
