This question is about photographer resumes.
A photography CV looks like a clear and to-the-point summary of your photography training and experience. It should provide a snapshot of your photography expertise and showcase other skills such as attention to detail, self-motivation, and communication.
After your contact information, you should include an objective to get started. In no more than four sentences, highlight your training and major career achievements.
For example, "Confident and dedicated photographer with experience in both professional and freelance photography. Intimately familiar with taking high-quality digital photographs (e.g., framing, lighting, determining advanced shutter and lens options)".
If you have several years of photography experience, we recommend highlighting your professional experience next. You should provide 3 to 6 bullets for each job listed.
However, if you only have freelance experience, then state that as a job and provide highlights of your achievements. For example, "Established recognized freelance photography business and a large group of faithful customers."
Next, provide information on your educational credentials. Be sure to include information such as Year of completion or expected completion (no starting dates), degree type, major and minors (if applicable), department and institution, honors and awards, dissertation/thesis title, and advisor.
Include a skills section that lists your key hard and soft skills like photography. Include an optional section on any hobbies. For example, established a recognized freelance photography business and a large group of faithful customers.
