What should an artist's resume look like?

On a typical resume, you first find employment history listed by the most recent job. An artist's resume, on the other hand, may include job history, but it also can include exhibition works, theater productions, animation shows, articles, or any venue where you showcase their work.

Depending on the type of artist, a resume can contain bibliographies, which are reviews of the artist's work. They also can contain portfolios and other items used to showcase their compositions and other original pieces. If an artist has a website or social media account that highlights your work, they should also include a link(s) to that.

Unlike traditional resumes, artist resumes are often broken into columns and kept to a page length. While traditional resumes tend to have short paragraph sections, an artist's resume is usually divided into concise list form.

An artist's resume should be a representative highlight of their training and experience. It does not have to include everything. Rather, focus on the most impressive accomplishments, and in this case, choose a sample representative of that range.
