Who owns Indeed?
Recruit Co owns Indeed. Recruit Co is a Japanese company that also owns Glassdoor. Since 2019, Chris Hyams has served as the CEO / President at Indeed. The actual owner of Indeed, along with several other similar companies such as Glassdoor, is Recruit Co. Although they allow Indeed to maintain brand independence.
Indeed was co-founded by Paul Forster and Rony Kahan in 2004. In 2005, Indeed launched its beta version of its "pay-per-click job advertising network." In addition to searching job postings, it allows the occurrence of words therein to be plotted over time, ostensibly as an indicator of trends in the job markets.
In 2012, Indeed was bought by one of the largest private companies in Japan. Indeed, however, maintains its own brand identity.
