Herring Networks owns One America News. The company was founded by Robert Herring Senior in 2013. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California, and is considered a pro-Trump news network.
The One America News Channel originally debuted in partnership with The Washington Times, a conservative daily newspaper. The aim of the company was to become a rival and attempt to overtake Fox News. Its sister channel is AWE.
Over the years, the company has been riddled with controversy. Causing some TV providers, such as Direct TV, to drop the channel.
In 2019, One America News said its channel was available in 35 million homes, and its audience ranged from 150,000 to as large as 500,000. However, that year Nielsen Media Research cited an approximate viewing base of around 14,000.
