Who owns Pinterest?

By Zippia Team - Aug. 22, 2022

Pinterest owns Pinterest. The concept of Pinterest was initiated in an app created by Ben Silberman, and Paul Sciarra called Tote.

Tote struggled as a company but served as the foundation for what would become Pinterest when Silberman launched the prototype as a closed beta in 2010. After nine months, the website had 10,000 users soon after Pinterest launched its iPhone and Pinterest Mobile App.

In 2021, the company had annual revenue of $3.537 billion with 3,225 employees working for the company.
