MAIN FUNCTION: Under general supervision, performs duties to ensure the safety and security of Arnot Health patients, visitors, students and employees; applies crime risk and safety hazard prevention techniques, methods, practices, enforces applicable laws and Arnot Health policies; exercises the power of arrest in accordance with NYS CPL Section 140 as a Public Safety Department employee. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conducts regular and thorough patrols, throughout the interior and exterior of Arnot Health locations, noting all present or potential safety, fire, or security hazards/ conditions, and taking such appropriate actions to correct same. 2. Collects and compiles all information necessary to complete a variety of reports in a timely, accurate and detailed manner. Conducts follow-up investigation on same as required. 3. Maintains accurate digital logbook entries. 4. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all Public Safety departmental equipment and uses all such equipment in a responsible manner. Any problem with equipment is reported promptly. 5. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Policy Manual, Arnot Health Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and Fire Manual. 6. Responds to ALL calls for assistance. Including, but not limited to, Assistant Needed STAT, Fire Alert, Code Teams, Rapid Response. 7. Responds to and supervises all helicopter arrival/departures. 8. Conducts monthly fire extinguisher inspections and completes Fire Drills as assigned. 9. Conducts FIRE WATCH and Interim Life Safety Measure (ILSM) Rounds as appropriate. 10. Reports directly to the Assistant Director of Public Safety and communicates all pertinent information in a timely and efficient manner. 11. Acts as a visible representative of Arnot Health, assists all patients, visitors and employees in a prompt, courteous and professional manner. Officer will display a neat, well-groomed appearance and wear proper uniform at all times. 12. Directs unauthorized persons away from premises. 13. Provides security and escort services when requested. Including but not limited to safety escorts, "direct observations", and Mental Health and Hygiene or Alcohol and Substance abuse patient escorts to court proceedings. 14. Enforces parking policy. 15. Completes at least one (1) safety round per shift, inclusive of the main hospital and grounds, and all other on-campus buildings 16. Performs scheduled locks/unlocks, as well as locks/unlocks upon request. 17. Is it the responsibility of the officer to maintain a current NYS Security Guard License, including attending an 8 Hr. Annual In-service course each year and any applicable renewal fees and paperwork. 18. Successfully completes the following training programs and maintain current certification as necessary: * FEMA Independent Study Courses: IS 100, IS 200, IS 907, IS 914 * International Association of Healthcare Safety & Security (IAHSS-Basic) * American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) * Crisis Intervention (PMCS or other as prescribed by organization) * Practical and Tactical Handcuffing (PATH) * Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT) * OSHA Hazmat for the First Receiver 19. The Compliance and Risk Auditor supports the organization's Compliance and Risk Management Programs by conducting audits, risk assessments, and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to healthcare laws, regulations, and internal policies. Working under the direction of the Compliance Officer, this position helps identify and mitigate areas of risk, supports process improvements, and promotes a culture of accountability and ethical behavior. Job Responsibilities Conducts risk assessments and compliance audits for adherence to laws, regulations, and policies including HIPAA, the OIG Work Plan, Fraud Waste & Abuse, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, Malpractice Risk Exposure Adjustment Program criteria. Jordan Health is now seeking an Assistant MAAT Clinic Coordinator who, under the guidance of the Chief of MAAT Clinic, is primarily responsible for pretreatment screenings, intake evaluations under the close supervision of Chief and working directly with the MAAT Clinic Coordinator. The Assistant MAAT Clinic Coordinator will perform the following Clinical Duties as follows: · Conduct pre-treatment telephone screenings to assess patient's appropriateness for buprenorphine treatment · Conduct chemical dependency evaluation and intake appointments utilizing alcohol and drug abuse assessment tools · Assist with communicating with Chemical Dependency and/or mental health counselors in conjunction with MAAT Clinic Coordinator · Assist with facilitating CD and Mental Health referrals for treatment utilizing community resources with MAAT Clinic Coordinator · Assist with overseeing treatment compliance along with MAAT Clinic Coordinator · Assist with updating and maintaining the protocol for the program under the direction of the medical director along with MAAT coordinator. · Participate in monthly MAAT meetings and assist MAAT coordinator and medical director in preparing for the meeting · Assist with managing provider schedules and monitoring patient census to ensure compliance with treatment standards. · Assist in working with staff including care management teams to ensure patient access to appropriate services. Requirements Required Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance abuse Counselor (CASAC) preferred, minimum 1 year experience in alcoholism and substance abuse, Bachelor's degree preferred. Willing to consider training in other disciplines with experience and interest in addiction LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: CASAC certification up to date including professional continuing education if applicable SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Fluency in Spanish Preferred, Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is required. Having valid driver's license and a vehicle strongly preferred as position may require travel to 3 sites - all sites are within 5-10 minutes by car.
