Specific Responsibilities The Corporate Security Technical Specialist is responsible for the design, programming, integration, and ongoing management of the company's physical security technology systems, with a strong focus on Access Control and Video Management Systems (VMS). This role will serve as a technical expert and field specialist, supporting enterprise-level security platforms, coordinating installations, and providing hands-on technical and operational support across multiple corporate and field locations. In addition to technical responsibilities, the specialist will support broader corporate security functions, including executive protection (EP), employee escorts, investigations, site security assessments, and assist the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This position requires periodic travel to various company sites to perform system maintenance, support new installations, conduct site surveys, and assist with operational security needs.
System Administration & Maintenance
* Administer and maintain enterprise access control and video management systems, primarily Genetec Security Center, with secondary experience in Milestone and Lenel S2 platforms.
* Oversee system configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and software updates.
* Conduct regular system health checks, backups, and firmware maintenance.
* Assist in managing vendor relationships and oversee integrator work for system deployments and service, including reviewing invoices.
* Ensure all systems meet corporate IT and cybersecurity standards for networked devices.
* Perform security technology assessments and coordinate with local site leadership on enhancements.
Programming & Integration
* Develop and implement custom integrations and automation scripts between security platforms and other enterprise systems (e.g., HR databases, Active Directory, building management, or ticketing systems).
* Utilize Genetec SDKs, REST APIs, and SQL for programming and reporting automation.
* Configure event-to-action rules, automated notifications, and real-time monitoring workflows within VMS and access control systems.
* Create custom dashboards, user interfaces, and analytics tools for security operations.
* Perform testing, validation, and deployment of software patches and upgrades.
Corporate Security Operations Support
* Assist the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) with system monitoring, alarm management, and incident response coordination.
* Support executive protection activities through personal escort, surveillance planning, route assessments, and access coordination.
* Conduct and document site security surveys and risk assessments.
* Provide security escort support for sensitive operations, visitors, or high-risk movements.
* Support internal investigations by retrieving and analyzing video footage, access logs, and digital evidence.
* Participate in the design and implementation of new physical security solutions for offices, industrial facilities, and field locations.
Training & Documentation
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials for corporate security personnel.
* Conduct system training sessions for GSOC operators, IT support staff, and field security officers.
* Create diagrams, configuration baselines, and system maps for reference and compliance.
Travel Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Security Systems, or related field.
* 10+ years of experience managing and programming enterprise physical security systems. Security Integrator experience is a plus.
* Genetec Certified (Security Center Technical Certification required).
* Strong understanding of IP networks, access control architecture, and video analytics.
* Demonstrated experience with system integration, API development, and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, SQL).
* Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Polar Tankers, a wholly owned subsidiary of ConocoPhillips, provides marine transportation for North Slope production, using five company-owned, double-hulled tankers in addition to chartering third-party vessels as necessary. If you are selected as the 3rd Mate, you will be working under the direction of the Master and Chief Mate. The 3rd Mate must have a good understanding of all deck machinery and cargo systems and be proficient at navigation and cargo watch keeping. The 3rd Mate is required to participate in all drills and emergencies and to assist with the enforcement of rules, procedures, regulations, and pollution prevention.

Polar Tankers, a wholly owned subsidiary of ConocoPhillips, provides marine transportation for North Slope production, using five company-owned, double-hulled tankers in addition to chartering third-party vessels as necessary. The tankers deliver oil from Valdez, Alaska, to refineries primarily on the West Coast of the United States.
