In this role, you'll guide prospective residents through the leasing process, support current residents, and help maintain strong occupancy at your assigned property. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist prospective and current residents in a professional, friendly manner Answer phone calls and respond to emails and resident inquiries promptly Conduct apartment tours and explain leasing terms to potential residents Prepare leasing documents and ensure applications are completed accurately in the property management system Handle service requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution Maintain knowledge of the property, community features, and nearby competitors Keep model and available units clean and ready for tours Assist in resident retention and renewal efforts Communicate emergency maintenance requests and coordinate with service staff Track and manage renters insurance compliance Prepare move-in materials for new residents Maintain property security protocols and key control procedures Assist with filing, paperwork, and other administrative tasks Help investigate and resolve resident concerns professionally Perform other related duties as needed Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skills Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer-first attitude Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Requirements: Previous experience in property management, leasing, or sales preferred Valid driver's license is required. Use of a vehicle for the duration of each scheduled shift is mandatory.     Job Description Assistant Leasing Manager Apartment Services, Inc. - Towson, MD Full-Time | Weekend Rotation | May Rotate Between Properties Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Assistant Leasing Manager to join our team! In this role, you'll support the Leasing Manager in overseeing the leasing office, supervising leasing staff, and ensuring a positive resident experience. You'll assist with daily operations, staff scheduling, and resident communication while helping maintain occupancy and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations of the leasing office and staff Assist in onboarding and performance evaluations for leasing staff Support residents with rent payments, service requests, and general inquiries Communicate regularly with service team to ensure property coordination Conduct daily inspections of the property and vacant units Submit service requests and recommend capital improvements as needed Oversee leasing staff scheduling and participate in renewal processes Coordinate and participate in evictions, move-out inspections, and marketing efforts Monitor key logs and property security measures Manage delinquency through persistent resident outreach and communication with Regional Manager Maintain compliance with Fair Housing, company policies, and safety regulations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service abilities Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Experience with leasing, sales, or property management preferred Familiarity with Yardi Systems and Microsoft Office is a plus Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of relevant experience preferred Valid driver's license required Use of a personal vehicle for the duration of each scheduled shift is mandatory Reliable phone number and email address required Must be able to work weekends and attend events as needed Prolonged periods of walking, sitting, and light lifting (up to 15 lbs) Must present a professional appearance at all times Willingness to work at multiple property locations as needed Benefits Offered: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401(k) with Company Match Life Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage Transportation Allowance Rental Discount Program (more information available at interview)
