Apex Systems, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Brian Callaghan, Win Sheridan and Jeff Veatch, three friends who met at Virginia Tech. They were inspired to start Apex for three main reasons - to treat job seekers better, to provide a better service for companies, and to build a company where the best recruiters and sales staff would want to work. The Founders felt too many recruiters weren't treating job seekers the right way. They failed to return calls. They didn't give closure. They misrepresented the job. Some even came across as sleazy. It was a frustrating perception of the staffing industry, so they set out to change it.The staff at Apex Systems come from unusually diverse demographic backgrounds. The company is 30.4% female and 39.8% ethnic minorities. Apex Systems employees are more likely to be members of the Democratic Party than the Republican Party, with 60.0% of employees identifying as members of the Democratic Party. But those numbers could change quickly because the turnover rate at Apex Systems is relatively high. Employees at Apex Systems stay with the company for an average of 2.4 years before leaving.Apex Systems is an industry leader with 11,132 employees and an annual revenue of $750.0M that is headquartered in Richmond, VA.
