Description
Markon is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 1 to support mission-focused system development and operational integration efforts. The Systems Engineer will apply foundational systems engineering principles to support requirements development, architecture alignment, documentation, and cross-discipline coordination in support of an Intelliegence Customer.
Responsibilities
Support development of systems engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Assist in developing, allocating, and managing system and functional requirements aligned with DoDAF, SOA, and data-flow architectures.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), design reviews, test reviews, and Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities.
Support design and integration of data workflows and system interfaces, including solutions leveraging Apache NiFi.
Assist with interface definition, configuration management, and lifecycle documentation updates.
Support derivation and validation of lower-level requirements to ensure traceability and verifiability.
Assist in development of system design solutions and verification approaches.
Support development of Information Assurance requirements, including security and access control considerations.
Provide input to program artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Plans (IMP).
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including operational or mission support experience.
Experience or familiarity with Apache NiFi for data flow management or system integration.
Basic understanding of systems engineering life-cycle processes and requirements management.
Familiarity with DoD architectures (e.g., DoDAF) and enterprise system environments.
Exposure to Information Assurance and security principles.
Ability to collaborate across technical teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Salary Range USD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
