About the Role
As a Backend Infrastructure Engineer at Sesame, you will work across the stack, with an emphasis on backend, infrastructure, and systems. You should feel comfortable working on any typical software project, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and services with a strong intuition on software development and software deployment best practices.
Responsibilities
Build a secure, maintainable, self-serve core infrastructure.
Build a modern training architecture and a modern serving architecture.
Build and scale a low-latency voice interface and audio processing pipeline.
Build low maintenance, high leverage developer tooling, server, and data infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Ability to set, own, and communicate direction.
Hands-on reliability engineering experience. You hold convictions about monitoring and observability methodology, deployment systems, loosely coupled components, etc.
Experience shipping services at scale.
Experienced systems designer in designing and shipping flexible domain models and APIs.
A track record of delivering efficiency through automation.
Experience solving challenging infrastructure problems (using the tools below).
Preferred Qualifications
Significant IaC experience (Terraform preferred).
CloudFormation, Pulumi, Kube-based, etc.
Architected a multi-stack, self-serve Terraform system, or maintained one.
Understand the challenges of building infrastructure at scale.
Significant Kubernetes experience.
Some ML experience.
Torch experience, especially model optimization for serving.

About the Role

Role Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Review and evaluate software project requests to determine the best approach for meeting organizational objectives or to recommend alternative solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to define and document requirements for software initiatives.
Lead and participate in the pre-testing phase of development for systems stack by evaluating proposals, identifying potential challenges, and making informed recommendations.
Ensure that development projects for applications stack meet business requirements, achieve end-user goals, and efficiently resolve any identified system issues.
Analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for enhancement or optimization.
Acquisition & Deployment
Manage the development and deployment of new systems software and enhancements to existing applications.
Ensure seamless integration of new software solutions into company's environments, meeting all compliance and interface specifications.
Collaborate with designers and system owners to conduct thorough testing of new software programs and applications.
Operational Management
Guide and coordinate with the application development team in support of business operations related to Financial and Purchasing systems stack.
Ensure user access to software stack is provisioned and maintained promptly and securely.
Identify and resolve program errors and issues.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for project managers and developers.
Coordinate with vendors and internal development teams to install enhancements and upgrades.
Liaise with network administrators, software engineers, and vendors to ensure quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
Promote, disseminate, and enforce organizational policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices related to software solutions.
Requirements
Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design, computer science, information technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience participating in the direction, development, and implementation of Financial and Purchasing software solutions.
Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools relevant to Financial and Purchasing systems.
Experience with the financial cycle in large organizations: requisitions, purchase orders, invoicing, payments, accruals, G/L postings, fixed assets, depreciation and budgeting.
Required: Substantial experience with Purchasing software; Preference: Experience with Agilysys Stratton Warren.
Demonstrated project management skills with exposure to project-based work structures and lifecycle models.
Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives, with a focus on Financial and Purchasing operations.
Strong customer-service and stakeholder engagement orientation.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Houston Dynamo Football Club is seeking a Full-Time IT Support Administrator. The IT Support Administrator will be responsible for on-site and remote technical support for all Houston Dynamo FC entities including event coverage for events in Shell Energy Stadium. The position will serve as the front line of support for end user hardware and software, conduct trainings, user onboardings and off-boardings, and contribute to technology projects in support of the IT department. The administrator will drive value for internal stakeholders by providing high quality, hands on support for users and ensuring a functional and efficient technology environment. The technician must be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision, quickly identifying and resolving issues as they arise. This role reports internally to the Director of IT and collaborates closely with stadium operations, broadcast teams, and other technical personnel to ensure all systems are functioning optimally. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the organization by tracking, managing, and responding to user support requests
Provide timely and professional IT customer support to staff in-person or remotely by phone, email, or remote support tools per established policies and procedures
Diagnose, repair, install, configure, and maintain end-user technology such as PC and Mac desktops/laptops, mobile devices, printers, copiers, and peripherals
Support approved end-user software applications, including third-party applications, and perform software installations and updates
Perform systemadministration tasks including account provisioning/de-provisioning, computer imaging, email setup, and distribution list/security group management
Maintain detailed service and maintenance records, inventory information, and knowledgebase articles using helpdesk ticketing and inventory software
Maintain spare parts and supplies inventory for printers, desktops, and laptops
Participate as a project team member in IT projects and implementations
Create, update, and maintain documentation as required
Provide end-user training and instruction on systems, applications, security best practices, and company/IT policies in order to maximize end-user productivity
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network
Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures to monitor and promote compliance and make recommendations on updates and revisions

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Experience: One (1) or more years of professional experience in an enterprise IT environment
Education: AA in IT or BS in Computer Science or a related field preferred, applicable experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree
Licenses or certificates: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certifications preferred
