    Manager of Marketing and Communications Reports to: Senior Director of External Affairs FLSA Status: Exempt The Manager of Marketing and Communications (MMC) develops, implements, and evaluates strategies to promote the mission, programs, and services of Apicha CHC. This position devises and manages all of Apicha's marketing initiatives, including via media and press outlets and social media channels, and designs print and digital materials, assists in media outreach, and ensures brand consistency across all platforms. The role combines strategic decision-making and planning with hands-on content creation, emphasizing community engagement, health promotion messaging and patient acquisition. The major duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Marketing and Communications Department and Strategy Manage Apicha's Marketing and Communication Department and make decisions on allocating resources of and expenditures by the Department. Entails regular access to highly sensitive and confidential financial information Responsible for the development of communication strategies for both internal and external communications Determine, develop and execute an annual marketing plan aligned with organizational goals. Promote awareness of services, events, and initiatives to patients, partners, funders, and the community. Ensure all communications reflect the organization's mission and vision and are aligned with Apicha's strategic goals. Manage and maintain up-to-date communications lists Create and disseminate internal and external communications Steward and monitor the Apicha CHC brand and brand identity to ensure consistency is maintained both internally and externally Social Media & Digital Engagement Manage and grow the health center's presence across social media platforms Create and schedule engaging, health center appropriate content, including graphics, videos, and stories. Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies for optimal reach and impact. Respond to comments and messages in alignment with HIPAA and organizational policies. Design & Content Creation Decide upon and design flyers, brochures, banners, digital ads, and other marketing collateral using platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent. Maintain and update the health center's website with timely and relevant content. Capture and edit photos and videos for campaigns, events, and storytelling initiatives. Media & Public Relations Manage Apicha's public relations and devise public relations strategies and initiatives Draft press releases, media advisories, and op-eds to promote programs and events. Coordinate media coverage and serve as point of contact for journalists. Maintain relationships with community partners, local influencers, and other stakeholders. Event Promotion & Support Plan and execute promotional strategies for health fairs, outreach events, and community programs. Support fundraising and donor engagement campaigns through targeted communications. Brand & Compliance Ensure consistent use of the health center's logo, colors, and messaging in all materials. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality guidelines, and federal requirements for FQHCs. Analysis, Reporting and Administration Monitor, measure, and report the progress of various communications initiatives Monitor and report patient online feedback Routinely track progress of marketing and communication efforts and develop reports as required for grant reporting Database and email list management Assess highly sensitive and confidential financial information in deciding upon Apicha's Marketing and Communications strategies and plans Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field required Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or public health setting. Experience in determining and managing marketing initiatives, social media platforms and creating multimedia content. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro). Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences. Knowledge of social media analytics and SEO best practices. Understanding of databases, list segmentation, coding and tracking Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred. Working Conditions Standard office hours with occasional evenings and weekends for events. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. for event materials and displays. Project Management: * Created and maintaining up to date clinical supervision logs. * Monitor and ensure medical case management staff keep accurate patients related records on the services and activities such as assessment, care plans, patient's interactions in designate database and reporting structures. * Monitor and ensure medical case management staff progress by tracking performance milestones, resolving problems as they arise, and coordinating status update meetings with appropriate staff. * Monitor team's performance and ensure meeting the service goals and quota set by Apicha Department of Support Services. * Ensure the medical case management staff follows Apicha CHC policy and procedure as required. * Participates internal and external meetings as assigned. Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement: * Perform quality assurance and quality improvement activities. * Participate/collaborate with internal and external entities on quality improvement activities. * Work as a part of Clinic multi-disciplinary team and Department of Support Services for continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Collaboration and Outreach: * Facilitate on-going care team communication for betterment of patients. * Respond to any inquiry from external entities such as Department of Health, AIDS Institute, MCO, or other service providers on non-contractual related inquiries. * Provide information and facilitate referral to services available at the Agency, as needed. * Collaborate with internal and external entities in fostering effective partnership * Represent the agency at various venues to promote agency services. Qualifications: * Advanced degree in related field (i.e. health, nursing, mental health, or public health) with 3 years of full-time experience in related field required. Bachelor in related field with 5 years of full-time experience in related field may be considered. * Two (2) years of supervisory experience to paid staff preferred. * Experience working with target populations strongly preferred: individuals with Serious Mental Illness, substance use disorders (SUDs), individuals with high risk of or living with HIV/AIDS, chronic hepatitis, and other individuals with social needs. * UAS-NY certification required within 1 month of hire. * Appreciation of and commitment to Apicha's mission and values. * Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Ability to work effectively in both a collaborative as well as individual setting. * Must possess ability to interact with all levels of external and internal customers with a high level of professionalism and culturally competent in representing Apicha CHC. * Excellent customer service skills to assist in resolving any issues. * Strong verbal and written communication skills - for both internal and external communications * Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
