Doug Sterk, who has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, joined APMEX in 2017. In his previous role as Controller at Paycom Software, Inc., Mr. Sterk prepared the company’s first-ever annual 10-K report and assisted in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. He is a member of Financial Executives International and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In his current role as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Sterk oversees financial performance, regulatory compliance, risk and project management.

Mark Yoshimura has more than 20 years of leadership experience within the retail sector, with a very diverse background that includes leadership roles within Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance and International Business Development. This includes experience with both Office Depot and Payless Shoesource. Mark Yoshimura joined APMEX in August 2012 as Vice President of Operations before becoming Vice President of Sales and Customer Service. He was named Chief Operating Officer in January 2017. Mark Yoshimura’s background before joining APMEX includes the following: As the leader of Office Depot’s North American transportation function, Mark was responsible for all inbound, outbound to retail and outbound to customer transportation activities. This included P&L responsibilities totaling more than $350M annually and service on over 400,000 deliveries per week. Mark led a transformation of the B-B/B-C transportation operation model that resulted in over $30M in expense reduction per annum. He also conceived, sold and implemented a “game changing” supply chain initiative resulting in an $8M fixed expense reduction, which included the consolidation of seven distribution facilities, increased delivery frequency to stores, moving the transportation model to 100% variable and reduced overall transportation expenses to over 1,000 retail stores. As the lead for Office Depot’s Vendor Integration team, Mark created “ground-up” processes and functions that worked with Office Depot’s suppliers to increase visibility and performance throughout the supply chain. This included a custom CPFR program, vendor compliance program and vendor scorecards. Earlier in his career, Mark was involved with international business development for both Office Depot and Payless Shoesource. These roles included modeling and building out the infrastructure to replicate the retailer’s business model for international expansion through both joint ventures and green field activities. Mr. Yoshimura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Iowa State University and an MBA from Purdue University.
