Business Development Representative

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Business Development Representative to work remotely. This roles territory will be cover PA/DE/NJ with an emphasis on Philadelphia. Business Development Representative will be responsible for actively seeking, engaging customer prospects, and cultivating relationships. To create and grow opportunities for Armstrong Flooring, Crossville Tile & AHF Contract business. In this role, the Business Development Representative will establish strategies to target potential clients and customers positioning the appropriate AHF product solutions. Create specifications within the Architect/Design community, End-users, and Flooring Contractors. This role will require in field travel of 75-80%.
JOB DUTIES:
Build and manage relationships with End Users, Architect/Interior Designers, Flooring Contractors, and other key buyers with the objective of establishing trust to build ongoing partnerships developing into sales.
Research purchase needs and adjust sales tactics based on insights.
Present, promote, and sell the company's products and services to new and existing buyers to influence specifications and product selection.
Identify new service opportunities to grow existing accounts sales and strengthen relationships.
Reach out to new customers through networking opportunities, social media, and cold calling.
Develop and actively engage in networks outside of Parterre to obtain market intelligence necessary to compete effectively.
Create and execute tactical sales-driving marketing campaigns, special events and sponsorships that help increase brand awareness, build relationships, and achieve sales goals.
Collaborate with customer support, and management during the specification and order fulfillment process; communicate project details to team members for successful implementation.
Assist client in budgeting; prepare and submit formal pricing and bids for client approval.
Prepare accurate sales projections and provide forecast information for team planning purposes.
Utilize CRM to create customer profile, customer contact and account updates.
Assist Management in establishing Annual / Quarterly / Monthly Strategy and Sales Plans
Assist Management in identification of product voids or improvements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
Experience working in an outside sales role calling on a varied client base
Flooring product knowledge preferred.
Proven success selling to large corporate clients
Knowledge of specifications, design and phases required
Strong understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions

What You Will Do:
As the Outside Sales Rep, you will maximize Company sales and profitability by growing, maintaining, and actively promoting products to new or existing customers.
Your Top Accountabilities in the Role:
Develops, maintains, and grows new and existing client relationships, as well as maintains customer confidentiality.
Generates and follows up on sale leads while continually looking for new business opportunities within all segments of the industry.
Participates in industry functions such as home shows and professional association meetings to network, build relationships, and generate leads.
Provides new and existing customers with updates on new product lines, ensuring information shared is accurate and focused on the customer's needs.
Maintains and stays up to date on product knowledge, availability, and technical aspects product including installation.
Understands the customer's business, provides solutions that fit, and uses negotiation techniques to close the sale.
Position Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework complete, 4-year degree preferred but not required.
Experience: 2+ years of outside sales experience that is results & solutions focused with a proven track record of success. Prior industry experience helpful, but not required.
Functional Skills: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to actively listen, engage the customer, and provide proactive solutions based on individualized needs. Solid business acumen to understand customers goals. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close the sales. Solid organizational and planning skills are also needed.
Technology Aptitude/Other: Intermediate computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel along with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, metric conversions, area calculations, and apply concepts of basic algebra.
Language Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; to respond to common inquires or complaints from Customers or the public; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of Customers or Employees of the organization.

Other Important Information:
Reports To: Sales Manager
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work Saturday as needed.
Travel: Regional Travel required. Some overnight travel may also be needed.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and possibly inclement weather while traveling. The Employee works with and in proximity to material handling equipment including forklifts and cranes. The Employee works with and in proximity to packaged, cement-based products such as grouts and cleaning and sealing chemicals for tile and stone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle and feel; to talk and hear; and to operate a motor vehicle. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, lift and/or move up to 15 lbs. and is occasionally required to climb or balance and lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

We are seeking a results-driven Customer Service Sales Representative to grow our B2C e-commerce revenue through proactive customer engagement and effective sales execution. This role blends inbound sales support with high-quality customer service, converting inbound inquiries into completed sales while identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell parts and related products.
The ideal candidate has proven success in B2C e-commerce sales, is motivated by performance-based compensation, and is comfortable selling parts. Experience selling construction equipment parts is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Convert inbound phone, email, chat, and online inquiries into completed sales
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize order value
Recommend the correct parts and products based on customer needs and compatibility
Meet or exceed individual sales, revenue, and conversion goals
Accurately quote pricing, availability, shipping options, and lead times
Process orders, returns, and exchanges with speed and accuracy
Build strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and loyalty
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activity in CRM and e-commerce systems
Familiarity with Volusion and Shopify is preferred.
Partner with internal teams to quickly resolve order, shipping, or product issues
Stay up to date on products, promotions, and inventory availability

Competitive base pay plus uncapped commission
