Senior Creative Strategist (Performance)
We create and deliver an aligned, dedicated marketing strategy to fuel each Expedia Group brand's success. Since our travelers interact with us through our brands, we have a brand focus in our marketing, while leveraging the scale and efficiency we've built in functional expertise.
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Creative Strategist (Performance) to lead the development of high-impact creative assets across paid social, display, programmatic, and app store optimization (ASO) channels. This role blends creative excellence with strategic insight, ensuring campaigns not only look exceptional but also drive measurable business outcomes.
As a key connector between Integrated Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Creative teams, you will translate business objectives into compelling briefs, assets, and campaigns that perform. With a strong creative background, in-house experience, and the ability to manage agencies and internal designers, you'll bring structure, collaboration, and innovation to our performance creative strategy. Above all, you'll be focused on driving results, including incremental Return on Ad Spend (iROAS).
In this role, you will:
Creative Strategy & Development
* Lead creative strategy for paid performance channels including Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Display, and Paid Search
* Translate business objectives and performance insights into actionable creative briefs for agencies, designers, creators, and production partners
* Ensure creative aligns with brand identity while meeting channel-specific performance best practices
* Present creative strategy recommendations and performance insights to cross-functional partners and leadership
Creative Production
* Collaborate with in-house designers, copywriters, and external agencies to bring ideas to life with creative excellence and performance alignment
* Oversee end-to-end production of creative assets including static, motion, video, creator/UGC, and app store visuals
* Maintain creative asset libraries to support efficient versioning, localization, and testing processes
Performance Optimization
* Stay current on platform best practices, emerging ad formats, and creative trends to evolve our performance playbook
* Partner with Growth, platforms, and Integrated Marketing teams to analyze performance data and translate insights into creative improvements
* Implement and manage structured creative testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate)
* Continuously refine messaging, visuals, and formats to maximize campaign efficiency and effectiveness
* Focus on business impact metrics such as iROAS, conversion rate, and CPA to ensure creative work contributes directly to growth goals
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner closely with Integrated Marketing, Growth, Brand Studio, and other teams to ensure creative consistency across touchpoints
* Act as the creative lead and point of contact for agency and production partners
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including platform partners
Experience and qualifications:
* 8+ years in creative development, with at least 3+ years focused on performance marketing assets
* Strong design or creative background with a portfolio demonstrating expertise across Meta, TikTok, Google Display, DV360, App Store/Google Play, and emerging platforms
* Proven in-house experience collaborating with cross-functional marketing teams and managing creative production
* Expertise in writing creative briefs and managing external agencies or production partners
* Stellar organization, project management, and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
* Strong understanding of creative effectiveness principles and demonstrated impact on iROAS
* Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Proficiency in design and production tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects, etc.) and familiarity with emerging formats
* Bonus: Experience using AI for creative ideation and production
The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Prototyping is an exploratory design team. We design software to explore what new hardware might bring to our current and future products. It is our job to invent and propose new features and sometimes entirely new products. Over the past decade we have incubated products like iPad, Pencil, and Apple TV Siri Remote. We pioneered force and haptics for Multi-Touch track-pads, iPhone, and Apple Watch. We were instrumental in the interface design and development of multi-camera systems, LiDAR, True-Depth, Face ID, Animoji, and depth photography. We express our ideas through pictures, animation, video and code.
We do not want to hire more people like the people already on the team. We are looking for someone to add something special. We are open to people with any background and any amount of experience.
