Roles and Responsibilities:
Evaluate completed sub-assemblies or systems to determine the cause of defective appearance or malfunctions. Recommend design changes and other corrective actions and war room requests, working with Engineering to adhere to contractual and drawing requirements. Perform inspections using tooling and check lists for the complete inspection of sub-assemblies and systems. Interface with manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to improve processes and document issues. Conduct inspections of complex components to determine, from visual and dimensional checks, piece/part conditions that contribute to, or cause, defects. Conduct investigations to detect conditions affecting functional aspects of the system and recommend solutions to eliminate current and/or future malfunctions. Perform first-piece, patrol, sampling, physical configuration audit, and final inspection on a variety of complete electromechanical LRUs and systems. Visually inspect for appropriate electrical assembly specifications and standards. Determine and evaluate the cause of rejections and recommend changes in tooling/equipment, functions and/or materials to improve the quality of the completed product. Review procedures and techniques used to inspect materials, parts, units, and/or systems that improperly passed inspection, to make necessary corrections to prevent recurrence. Perform ISO Audits as required by audit coordinator after receiving certification. Submit contract end item product as required. Customer and government (DCMA) interface are required for in-process inspections through final inspections as well as contract end item submittals and final pack/shipping processes. This position requires a secret clearance as the work will be performed in a secure area.

Job Description
A Mobile Inspector I functions as a member of the Manheim mobile inspections team for a designated region with the primary responsibilities of conducting vehicle condition inspections on a client's lot. Their core skill is to provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition within the parameters of a Manheim inspection.
This position will build trust with clients, engage to help them see the value in the Manheim Marketplace, and to request more inventory to be inspected by providing quality and timely inspections. As Mobile Inspector I, this role will work closely with the Sr Mobile Inspector and/or Mobile Inspector IV as they expand their inspection skills, gain familiarity with the mobile inspection role, and build relationships with clients.

Primary Duties & Key Responsibilities
Will work closely with more senior mobile inspectors and mobile inspections management while they expand their inspection skills and gain a better understanding of the role.
Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection.
Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients' lot safely.
Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system to correct VIN, mileage, and sub series.

Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and certified Automotive Maryland State Inspector to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll ensure vehicles are both roadworthy and compliant with Maryland state inspection standards-all while delivering best-in-class service to our customers where they are.

Key Responsibilities
Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections in compliance with MVA regulations.
Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using modern diagnostic tools and techniques.
Conduct routine maintenance services to improve vehicle performance and reliability.
Use Roda's tech tools to create clear, visual documentation (photos/videos) to explain recommended services.
Communicate any non state inspection related recommendations in a customer-first way that prioritizes safety, reliability, and transparency.
Occasionally transport customer vehicles as part of our mobile valet service.
Requirements
Current Maryland State Inspector License (or the ability to obtain it prior to start date).
Strong technical background and hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with electronic diagnostics and mobile reporting tools.
Ability to work independently in a field-service environment.
ASE certification(s) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
Perform Maryland State Vehicle Safety Inspections in accordance with Maryland State Police requirements.
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes.
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
