Job Description

The Director, Application Development DSL, plans, directs, and coordinates activities in such fields as data processing, information systems, systems architecture, and application development. Creates a culture of effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.

  • Meets with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.

  • Reviews project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.

  • Assigns and reviews the work of systems analysts, programmers, and other computer-related workers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology or Social Sciences.

  • 8+ years of technology and/or project management required.

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is responsible for delivering Technology solutions to Citi's Global Functions organizations. GFT's mission is to optimize Citi's IT environment by driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of applications, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, that reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and that create a competitive advantage for Citi. The Retail Risk Technology Group (RRT) within GFT coordinates with other risk and technology areas to lead architecture and build scalable applications in support of Retail Risk.

The position Head of Retail Risk Regulatory Technologies within RRT is a new Director level (C15) role who will provide strategic technology direction for RRT in pursuit of its technology target state, enterprise platforms and aligning with corporate initiatives related to CCAR and CECL. The role offers a significant opportunity to support transformation and migration to innovative platforms and be a key leader of talented technologists and support on a global scale during a time of change and innovation while balancing business as usual.

We are looking for a person who promotes challenge the status quo but considers all options and drives consensus with multiple stakeholders and to lead adoption of new technologies. The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically at a high level and diving deep in pursuit of solving Retail Risk business and technology problems to move the bank forward; and provide support to team members in development of technical, leadership and other professional skills.
Key Responsibilities:


Lead Retail Risk Technology CCAR and CECL technical strategy, architecture and application design; envisioning business purpose, managing risks, process efficiency and user-interface design; Develops deep technical understanding of key systems, processes and interdependencies. Design and leverage enterprise tools, processes and functionality to execute key Retail Risk processes and applications in a consistent enterprise framework ensuring effective business controls are established and maintained. Accountable for completion of all project deliverables within book of work and ensures completion and communication of Risk mitigation plans, critical path and dependencies, project recovery and business continuity plans Directs, manages, implements, and executes on business solutions, overseeing and optimizing projects, project teams and project performance Drives delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity leverage industry proven frameworks and drive the appropriate methodology to focus on predicable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the organization Monitors key milestones and outcomes of projects in the program(s) throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to established quality standards Oversees and contributes to the development of project definition and scope at the project level
