Communicate with management, new products, and other staff regarding current manufacturing capabilities and ideas on developing future capabilities. Improve overall processing of material in various fabrication and assembly processes through data collection and analysis by reducing cycle time, lead time, cost and quality defects. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, drawings, 3D CAD models and standard operating procedures. Develop project plans and own responsibility for completion of milestones that identify all project steps, resources required and capital requirements. Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed. Must possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well within cross-departmental groups and clearly communicate solutions.
