Demonstrate Client's guiding principles and values.
Design and develop manufacturing processes for electrical and metal fabrication equipment, ensuring efficient production flow, adherence to quality standards, and optimization of resources.
Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate machinery, tools, and equipment for manufacturing processes. Optimize equipment performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies. Identify and implement process enhancements, reduce waste, and optimize operations to increase productivity and quality.
Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions, procedures, and documentation for manufacturing processes. Standardize operations to ensure consistency, safety, and quality.
Collaborate with the engineering team during the NPI phase to ensure the manufacturability and scalability of new electrical and metal fabrication equipment designs. Provide input on design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).
Collaborate with the quality team to develop and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and testing protocols. Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the production team during the manufacturing process. Resolve production issues, implement process changes, and ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
Conduct cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency while maintaining product quality and compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of manufacturing processes. Communicate effectively to convey technical information, provide updates, and address concerns.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the manufacturing environment. Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
Job Requirements:

As a Project Engineer at GEA, you'll be the technical engine behind complex projects. From kickoff to commissioning, you'll manage all phases with precision and passion.
What You'll Do:
Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, procurement, production, and service teams.
Serve as the customer's trusted technical contact from order to delivery and beyond.
Oversee sub-contractors and field activities for successful installations.
Analyze specifications and review product designs to meet project goals.
Create and manage project timelines using SAP and MS Office tools.
Provide technical support to sales and service teams - be the go-to expert!

Your Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
2-5 years applicable experience.
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver on time.
Strong communicator with excellent verbal/written skills and customer focus.
Skilled at building strong working relationships - internally and externally.
Passion for solving complex problems with process equipment or technical systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
Experience with wastewater or energy projects is a strong bonus.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $80,000 - $100,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

Job summary:
In a Siemens environment the Controls Engineer will work on systems supporting both hardware and software of motion control, SCADA, and automation projects. Key responsibilities:
Ability to solve moderately complex control engineering challenges
Provides support to the Senior Control Engineer
Understand and program using several different programming styles, including ladder logic, structured text, and others
Enable internal and external partners to understand design standards, implementation strategies and best practices
Enable and maintain proper documentation of all technology platforms
Will collaborate with the maintenance and operations team to fix root-cause issues and reduce downtime of the operation
Enable the design, selection, management, programming, and commissioning of automation equipment used to improve the existing systems
Contribute to the estimation and management for projects
Design electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine controls
Enable Advanced Process Control Systems
Program, commission, and debug PLC programs. Work with Operational Technology Engineers to interface control systems with HMI, MES, and SQL database systems
Identify opportunities to increase safety, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve quality
Follow Safety Management System, Environmental, and Quality procedures and requirements
Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or commensurate experience
Three plus years of professional experience with automation and control systems design
High level of proficiency working with PLC Hardware, PLC programming, automation controls, and Control Systems
Ability to contribute on large scale projects.
Knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA79, National Electric code, UL508A)
Knowledge of Safety standards (ANSI B11/RIA 15, OSHA)
Good working knowledge of CAD for updating and creating electrical drawings
Applicable knowledge of HMI and programming languages
Good verbal and written communications skill
Nice to haves:
Experience with Siemens PLC programming
Experience in Power Systems and Power Electronics.
Proficiency programming and tuning variable frequency drives
Steel plant or similar industrial experience
Experience in fast-paced iterative design and manufacturing environments

Essential functions:
* Develop and possess thorough and relevant product knowledge
* Be able to review and understand project contract drawings and specifications
* Conduct design calculations
* Support our sales representatives by providing sales quotations and other product information that supplement their proposals to our clients
* Gather cost data from our database, product engineering drawings and bill of materials, and previous projects to develop sales quotations, which are then provided to our sales representatives to meet job specifications and requests for proposals

* Consolidate data and information used to develop sales quotations and system solutions

* Navigate Sales and Manufacturing Database programs to find product drawings and bills of materials

Required Skills:
