Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule.
Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation.
Provide research options and regulation information as required.
Purchase and coordinate the delivery of certain materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications and budget.
Reviews and approves invoices and change orders.
Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades ensuring that all scope is encompassed.
Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals for construction as directed by the supervisor.
Relocate to specific job sites (if required) in order to become familiar with procurement and construction practices.
Attend weekly job site meetings. Assist in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), such as: monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings and status reports.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of work flow. Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisor.
Communicate effectively with customer, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s).
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray's safety program on site.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of three years related experience.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications. May also require working knowledge of scheduling applications.

Commercial Sales System Engineer is responsible for the design of Everon Fire Alarm, Intrusion Security, CCTV, and Card Access Systems in accordance with Sales and Operations protocols. Receives project specifications from Sales Representative and designs system blueprint. Chooses the appropriate mix of products and installation methods to provide the most cost-effective solution. Prepares all required submittals so that the subsequent hand-off to operations transitions efficiently. Acts as a technical resource to Sales and Operations team members. Participates in sales and operations meetings to evaluate accuracy of the sales estimate and job layout as required. May participate in initial job site walk through with contractors and/or building management as requested.
Job Responsibilities:
Supports field sales organization in the designing of Everon Fire Alarm, Intrusion Security, CCTV, and Card Access Systems and may need to create unique design solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
Ensures the job folder is organized and maintained including all pertinent job related information. May perform some field activities as required.
Designs building fire/ security systems for large and/or complex buildings consisting of electrical system layouts, electrical drawings, bill of materials, sequence of operations matrix, risers, panel layouts to meet the intent of the project plans, specifications and contract documents.
Designs small, medium and large complex building fire alarm and security architecture to support operator workstations, field panels. Analyzes plans, construction contract specifications and codes to determine project requirements and risks. Generates specific records for all projects.
Provides start-up and checkout documentation to Sales and Operations for use in NFPA UL certification.
Ensure the proper estimation of all job costs.
Prepares engineering re-estimate and follows up with appropriate sales and Operations management to assure understanding of and satisfaction with job scope.
Organizes system layout by design and prepares any necessary documents that maybe required including drawings need for permits.
Prepares specifications and drawings for specific job related components. Selects proper types, sizes, quantities of products to meet project requirements.
Prepares all information on pre-installation extras or change orders to submit to customer or general/ subcontractor. Oversees the creation of system graphics.
Qualifications - External
Education/Certification:
Associates degree in Electronics or other technical field or equivalent experience.
NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 or Level 2 required
Must have previous experience in commercial security systems design.
Experience:
5 + years engineering /systems or other related experience. Strong knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations required. Proficiency in programming, job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting required.
Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and AutoCAD required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Fully proficient and independent design skills.
Able to design medium to large jobs with deviation from standard tools, products or practices as needed.
Understands process of construction projects and the requirements to document all changes or deviations to specifications.

The Jr. Sales ApplicationsEngineer role will be responsible for pre-sales hardware and software applications support for power conversion devices using Chroma's instruments and Automated Testing Equipment (ATE). This position includes identifying best test practices with our customers and the development of application documentation and presentation. This position requires working closely with Chroma's product line across a variety of power supply markets and emerging technologies including solar, EV, battery, and LED.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Interpret customer's test application and technical performance requirements
* Identify discrepancies in legacy requirement data and recommend resolutions
* Design and validate automated electrical systems for power conversion products
* Design electrical interface test adapters, fixture and cable assemblies
QUALIFICATIONS
* Education: BSEE or equivalent work experience in an Engineering related field
* Minimum 1 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Some level of experience in developing schematics, wire list, bill of materials. Knowledge of PCB layout software a plus
* Basic knowledge of programming (LabVIEW, C, Python, Visual Basic, etc.) and test executive applications is a plus.
* Basic understanding in using AC/DC power sources, electronic loads, hipot testers, power meters, and general electrical lab test equipment such as DMM's, oscilloscopes, etc.
* Basic knowledge with communication protocols such as GPIB (IEEE 488.2), RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, I2C, and CAN Bus
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively presents ideas to peers, management and outside customers
* Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
* This is a non-supervisory position.
