The Sales Engineer's primary function is to manage customer opportunities and orders through the sales, engineering, and implementation phases of a project in order to ensure that customer expectations are managed and met and that the company remains profitable throughout a project. Responsibilities: * Understand our customers, markets, and solutions. * Understand our internal systems and processes to include all departments. * Work directly with our current Sales Engineering team and our customers to develop layouts, propose solutions, and manage expectations. * Work with engineering and operations to develop accurate price estimates and keep our price list updated. * Develop relationships with our cooperative vendors in order to make integration projects go smoothly. * Work with our external component vendors to understand their product lines and technologies. * Administer our CRM system and customer file cabinet for automating communications, proposals, and outbound marketing. * Learn our ERP system to obtain accurate solution costs for preparation of estimates. * Publish White Papers pertaining to interleaving automation, the benefits of interleaving, and the innovation surrounding new interleaving materials. * Support Writing press releases for new and existing products. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: * BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Food industry experience preferable. * Equipment experience preferable. * 5-10 years of experience in sales and engineering environments. * Proficiency in Draft Site, AutoCAD and Solid Works. * Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office. * Proficient in use of ERP systems (Epicore). * Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, and other departments. * Good oral / written communication skills. * Willingness and ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make suggestions for change. * Must be highly detail oriented; attentive to accuracy and neatness. * Displays diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with customers and other departments. * Demonstrates cooperation and willingness to take instruction. * High degree of flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks. * Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude. * Must be in office in Souderton, PA.
