Role Description:
The Operations Watch Analyst serves as a critical member of the Cybersecurity Operations team, responsible for identifying, investigating, reporting, and mitigating cyber incidents across diverse network environments.
This role ensures timely detection, analysis, and response to security events in accordance with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manual (CJCSM) 6510.01B and other applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives. The analyst will assess the severity of incidents, document findings, and coordinate appropriate response actions with stakeholders across the DoD Information Network (DoDIN).
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of CJCSM 6510.01B and ensure compliance with related policies and procedures.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational watch functions.
Conduct proactive network intrusion detection, monitoring, correlation, and analysis to identify potential threats.
Validate and assess suspicious events to determine if they meet incident criteria, ensuring accurate and timely entry into designated reporting systems.
Coordinate with Joint Force Headquarters-DoDIN (JFHQ-DoDIN) and supported organizations to ensure appropriate analysis, reporting, and escalation of significant incidents.
Provide 24/7 incident response coverage, including after-hours and surge support as mission needs dictate.
Perform network and host-based digital forensics across Microsoft Windows and other operating systems to support incident analysis and remediation.
Analyze full packet captures (PCAP) using tools such as Wireshark and other network forensic utilities.
Correlate system and network activity using Splunk and other log aggregation tools to detect anomalies and potential intrusions.
Develop, tune, and implement Intrusion Detection/Prevention System (IDS/IPS) signatures to enhance detection accuracy and minimize false positives.
Participate in program reviews, product assessments, and on-site certification evaluations to strengthen cyber defense posture.
Support a rotating shift schedule (4x10-hour workdays), including at least one weekend day.
Work collaboratively in a high-tempo, mission-focused environment requiring flexibility and occasional overtime for surge operations.

Education/ Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or a minimum of three years of directly relevant experience, preferably within a DoD or federal cybersecurity environment.
Willingness to travel up to 15% globally, including short-notice (72-hour) deployments in support of incident response operations.
Certifications:
Must hold an IAT Level II (Tier 1 and 2) or IAT Level III (Tier 3) certification (per DoD 8570.01-M) and PWS certification requirements in accordance with DoD cybersecurity workforce requirements.
CND certification
Preferred:
Five or more years of cybersecurity incident response experience.
Strong knowledge of incident response procedures, packet analysis, IDS/IPS technologies, and host-based security tools.
Proficiency in log correlation and analysis using tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or equivalent platforms.
Familiarity with digital forensics tools and methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, think critically, and operate independently under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support operational reporting and coordination.
In-depth understanding of CJCSM 6510.01B reporting requirements.
Prior experience in DoD environments.

Computer Systems Analyst I Overview: ITC Defense is seeking to hire a Computer Systems Analyst I in support of U.S. Navy /Air Force CYP CCTV Lifecycle Support Service program. This role involves assisting in the analysis of system requirements, installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and training end-users, all to ensure the safety and security of the child and youth program environments. The analyst works under general supervision, applying technical knowledge to maintain and improve system performance.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational support for CCTV, IP video surveillance, and electronic access control systems in CYP facilities.
Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and testing of IP cameras, VMS software, access control devices, and associated IT equipment in Windows and UNIX-based environments.
Monitor live and recorded video systems, system health dashboards, and storage capacity; identify and report performance or availability issues.
Perform basic troubleshooting of cameras, servers, workstations, network connections, and access control components under supervision.
Assist with system commissioning activities, including camera alignment, video quality verification, and functional testing.
Apply established network, cybersecurity, and physical security procedures when supporting IP-based security systems.
Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, software updates, and system checks to support lifecycle sustainment.
Maintain accurate system documentation, logs, and configuration records for CCTV and access control systems.
Coordinate with vendors, installers, and senior engineers during system installations, upgrades, and repairs.
Support end-user assistance and basic training on CCTV and access control system operation as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
At least one year of computerized systems experience, specifically with network protocols and UNIX and Windows-based operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with hardware/software support in a network environment preferred.
Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and networking principles, specifically CCTV, video surveillance, or electronic access control systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Job Description:
The Computer Systems Analyst analyzes business or scientific problems for resolution through electronic data processing, gathers information from users, defines work problems, and, if feasible, designs a system of computer programs and procedures to resolve the problems. The Computer Systems Analyst may also write the computer programs. Seven (7) years of experience providing financial management support to a program/project and/or corporate operations department.
Individual shall have notable experience providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets; measuring organizational performance; assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
Individual shall have experience examining budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
Experience may include employing cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.

Individual shall be able to provide interpret and apply financial management principles; and apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.
Individual shall be proficient in research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of financial/analytical software (spreadsheets); have experience related to working as part of a team in the delivery of product or service; and have experience working with the Navy Working Capital Fund business model.
Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
Individual shall have experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives and automate report generation.
TS/SCI level Clearance required.
