Intern for Cornerstone Autism Center - GREENWOOD

Cornerstone Autism Center provides intensive and individualized therapy based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. The mission of Cornerstone is to "maximize those who struggle, embrace those who love, and fulfill those who serve." We believe in not only treating the child with autism, but training and supporting the family as well. Interns will have the opportunity to receive training and experience within the field of behavior analysis. Interns go through a 40-hour training during the initial week of the internship. This training explains fundamental principles within behavior analysis and techniques involved in helping our clients develop skills and become more independent. Additional training in Professional Crisis Management focuses on preventing, de-escalating, and addressing challenging behavior that may be endanger the safety of the client or those around them. Ongoing training and supervision will be provided by on-site supervisors who specialize in autism intervention.
