Position Description
As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
* Machine components according to instructions and engineering drawings
* Change tools and make offset adjustments
* Review blueprints, routing sheets and accompanying documents for accuracy and machining requirements
* Understand and follow machining policies, instructions, work rules and safety guidelines
* Meet schedules and maintain quality standards
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
* 3+ years of work experience related to CNC lathe machining
* Mill turn manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required
* Experience interpreting blueprint dimensions and using measuring tools
* Ability to read, write and speak English

Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $23 - $30 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Setting-up, programming, and operation of CNC and conventional machines for end-to-end manufacturing with minimal direction.
Performing in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (i.e., I.D and O.D. Micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to verify that customer hardware specifications and tolerances are met.
Communicating and engaging with engineers and designers to collaborate about complex designs and provide fabrication insight to ensure project success.

Qualifications

Overall Summary
As a Machinist, you will work with tools, fixtures, and machines to manufacture medical devices from setup to operation. Job Summary
As a Machinist Apprentice Level I, you will work with a cross-functional team consisting of R&D engineers, marketing product managers, and manufacturing engineers in the production of surgical instruments and medical implant devices. Under supervision, you will learn to operate standard and CNC equipment to manufacture medical devices. Position Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Management: Monitor and analyze daily labor times, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other tracking reports using web applications. Support the Team Leader to ensure their guidance is being instructed and understood across the production team.
