Organized in 1932, the Appraisal Institute advocates equal opportunity and nondiscrimination in the appraisal profession and conducts its activities in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
The predecessor to the Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute was granted its original charter in 1970.
The Appraisal Institute was established when the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers AIREA and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers Society unified in January 1991.
