Function as an ApprenticeElectrician, under a certified or licensed Electrician for Bergelectric Corp. assist electricians with installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential project locations.
Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, repair, maintenance and testing of commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems in full support of Bergelectric Corp. safety, operations and productivity initiatives.
Use industry related hand tools and power tools, under supervision.
Assist the Electrician with measuring, cutting, bending, threading and installing wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
Assist the Electrician with wires and cables within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
Work with an Electrician to splice and terminate wires at junction points.
Clean, gather and transport materials to electricians on the construction site.
Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met.
Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.
Adhere to all Bergelectric Corp.'s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled or working on enrollment in an approved Apprentice program.
Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits, and specialty systems.
Knowledge of magnetic induction, three-phase transformers, conductors and wiring methods.
The ability to read and understand electrical single line blueprints.
Familiar with aspects of operation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them.
Physical Demands
Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.
Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling.
Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt.
Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
Working Environment
A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.

Job Responsibilities for Commercial and Industrial Electrician:
Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, using a variety of tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
System Upgrades and Modifications: Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements, such as adding outlets or equipment.
Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure the safety of the work environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
Emergency Response: Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring quick response and resolution of critical issues.

Apprentice electrician job in Shreveport, LA
Function as a Journeyman for Bergelectric Corp.; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems in full support of Bergelectric Corp. safety, operations and productivity initiatives.
Use industry related hand tools and power tools.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems.
Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees.
Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met.
Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.
Adhere to all Bergelectric Corp.'s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (if required by the applicable state, city or county).
Ability to install power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, and data network.
Ability to build and install control panels and provide maintenance to systems.
Experience using Electrical Single Line blueprints.
Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations.
Experience helping with the management of a project and crew.
Ability to manage material estimates.
Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.
Physical Demands
Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.
Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit bending.
Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt.
Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
Working Environment
A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.
High noise levels.

## **Job Summary**
The Service Electrician II is primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing any electrical or communication issues within EDC operations\. Some mechanical duties may be required along with other duties deemed necessary within EDC\.
## **Job Duties & Responsibilities**
Job work schedule will be an equal rotation of a 21 on, 21 off schedule\. On occasion worker may be needed to work on some or all their days off and in or out of their normal area\.
The following represents many of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all inclusive nor present other duties from being assigned when necessary:
+ Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 5 - 600 VAC electrical systems and equipment
+ Maintain existing electrical systems which includes, but not limited to, motor controls, networking, PLC's VFD's, relays, generators, and power transducers
+ Inspect installed equipment to ensure proper and safe operations
+ Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failure and down time
+ Follow all lock out/tag out procedures required by company policy
+ Maintain records of repairs and modifications of equipment
+ Document and order parts used to obtain current inventory count
