We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to keep our plant running safely and efficiently. In this role you will install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical power distribution (three-phase 480 V, 120 VAC, low-voltage DC), AC and DC motor controls, PLC and computer-based control systems, combustion equipment, and process control loops. You will diagnose equipment issues using software tools and test instruments, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs and machine downtime with production, requisition parts, and document and communicate across shifts. A safety-first mindset (including lockout/tagout compliance), high-quality workmanship, strong housekeeping, and reliability with overtime and occasional shift coverage are essential.
Responsibilities
Champion a culture of safety by consistently following safe work practices and coaching teammates to do the same.
Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures; stay current on plant safety requirements; actively participate in department and plant safety meetings.
Install conduit, wiring, and equipment with a high level of craftsmanship and professionalism.
Read and interpret electrical power distribution schematics, control diagrams, ladder logic, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot AC and DC motor control equipment.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair three-phase 480 V power distribution systems, 120 VAC control circuits, and low-voltage DC control systems.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and computer-based control systems.
Diagnose production equipment issues using computer skills, software tools, and test instruments.
Maintain and troubleshoot combustion systems, including gas trains, automatic control valves, and other gas-fired equipment.
Understand, maintain, and repair process control loops.
Assess equipment condition; plan and coordinate repairs and machine downtime with production leadership.
Proactively requisition parts and materials to support continuous plant operations.
Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled and as needed; document work performed.
Communicate maintenance issues across shifts to ensure continuity of operations; read and record notes in Maintenance and Production logbooks.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored throughout the shift and before breaks, meals, and end-of-day.
Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time and working required hours, including mandatory overtime; provide occasional shift coverage as needed.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
Two (2) year degree in electrical or trade school certifications in basic PLC, controls troubleshooting, arc flash training, national electrical regulations, or high voltage preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance. This is a key qualification, due to the unusual nature of the operation.

Qualifications
Education & Experience: We are looking for candidates interested in becoming licensed through our DOL approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.

Location/Travel: This position will require travel in/around South Bend, IN - up to/within a 200-mile radius. Applicants must be permanently located in/around the office location or be willing to permanently relocate. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.
Work Schedule: Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work maybe required on occasion.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. To perform efficient construction, operations, and maintenance work on de-energized lines; to become familiar with and trained in basic line work practices; and to perform work on energized lines as specified.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following activities, when performed by an Apprentice Lineman, shall be done with the understanding that the presence of the Apprentice Lineman on an energized circuit demands very close super vision by the Operations Supervisor or a qualified Lead Lineman, until such time as the Apprentice Lineman demonstrates safe and efficient performance of these activities.
Installs and makes repairs on energized or de-energized distribution and transmission lines in accordance with specifications.
Performs routine line maintenance, transformer change-outs, and bypasses equipment as necessary.
Remedies trouble on outage calls by making decisions on the most effective and safe method of restoring service.
Recognizes conditions detrimental to system operations and corrects or reports such conditions promptly.
Installs and/or operates oil circuit reclosers, sectionalizers, and air break switches.
Installs overhead and underground connections.
Makes single- and multi-phase transformer installations and connections.
Performs switching operations according to Warren RECC's current Lockout/Tagout procedures under the guidance of the System Control Center.
Restores operation of substations as necessary.
Installs and maintains outdoor lighting systems.
Inspects assigned tools, vehicles, and protective equip ment before each use and recommends replacement when necessary.
Identifies and works to contain oil spills or environmental hazards and reports to the Supervisor or District Manager.
Investigates current thefts and documents facts concerning such incidents
Trims and cuts right-of-way as necessary.
Works according to safety rules and policies adopted by Warren RECC, is responsible for own safety, and reports all incidents to supervisor.

Must be willing to develop knowledge of system and feeds and be able to use the mapping system effectively. Must develop a sound knowledge of the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction maintenance, of both energized and de-energized. Must have knowledge of pole top and bucket/self-rescue and have successfully completed First Aid and CPR courses. Should attend courses relating to area of work.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Must be able to become skilled in underground and overhead line operation, pole climbing, operation of line construction equipment and using line worker tools while working on the ground, on a pole, and from a bucket truck. Must develop skills to properly and safely work energized conductors of all voltages. Should be skilled in all work requirements concerning the safe and proper installation of materials, apparatus, and equipment used in construction and maintenance of distribution lines. Must have skills to access records on an electronic device quickly and efficiently. Must be able to read and interpret system maps. Must have a Kentucky-issued Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or be able to obtain one within 180 days of employment.

Apprentice Lineman
First Year: Must have successfully completed Part I (Basic Electricity and Climbing Lab) of the Apprentice Lineman Training Program and shown aptitude to continue program. Must have also completed one year of field experience.
Second Year: Must have successfully completed Part II (Fundamentals of Alternating Current and Construction Lab) of the Apprentice Lineman Training Program and shown aptitude to continue program. Must have also completed two years of field experience.
Third Year: Must have successfully completed Parts III (Basic Skills and Operations Lab) and IV (Advanced Skills) of the Apprentice Lineman Training Program and shown aptitude to continue program. Must have completed three years of field experience.
Fourth Year: Must have successfully completed the Apprentice Lineman Training Program. Must have also completed four years of field experience.
When the above requirements are met, an Apprentice Lineman may be promoted to Lineman, Step 1.
NOTE: An Apprentice Lineman may be permitted to complete correspondence and lab courses in advance of the required schedule. The field experience necessary for successful completion of the program will require an Apprentice Lineman to spend four years in the program before becoming a Lineman.

To perform skilled and efficient operations, maintenance, and construction work on the electric system with or without supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Installs and makes repairs on energized or de-energized distribution and transmission lines in accordance with specifications.
Performs routine line maintenance, transformer change-outs, and bypasses equipment as necessary.
Remedies trouble on outage calls by making decisions on the most effective way of restoring service.
Recognizes conditions detrimental to system operations and corrects or reports such conditions promptly.
Installs and operates oil circuit reclosers, sectionalizers, and air-break switches.
Installs overhead and underground conductors/connections.
Makes single- and multi-phase transformer installations and connections including CT and PT on single-phase equipment.
Restores operation of substations through proper troubleshooting procedures and adherence to defined switching orders as necessary.
Investigates power quality issues and takes action to correct such issues.
Performs switching operations according to current Lockout/Tagout procedures under the guidance of the System Control Center.
Installs and maintains outdoor lighting systems.
Inspects assigned tools, vehicles, and protective equipment before each use and recommends replacement when necessary.
Identifies and works to contain oil spills or environmental hazards and reports to the Vice President of Operations or District Manager.
Trims and cuts right-of-way as necessary.
In the absence of the Operations Supervisor, when assigned, will be responsible for safety, welfare, and the work performed.
Investigates current thefts and documents facts concerning such incidents.
Works according to safety rules and policies adopted by Warren RECC, is responsible for own safety, and reports all accidents to supervisor.
Complies with traffic laws, regulations, and safe practices while operating any company vehicle.

KNOWLEDGE
Must possess a working knowledge of construction, operations, and maintenance of overhead and underground electric distribution lines including installation of meters, transformers, voltage regulators, capacitors, sectionalizers, and oil circuit reclosers; substation operation; and switching orders. Must have knowledge of system and feeds and be able to use computerized mapping system effectively. Must be able to read residential and demand meters. Must have knowledge of proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction maintenance, both energized and de-energized. Must have knowledge of pole-top and bucket/self-rescue and have successfully completed First Aid and CPR courses. Must be willing to attend courses relating to work.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Must be skilled in underground and overhead line operation. Must be a certified climber. Must have ability to properly and safely work energized conductors of all voltages. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1 Travels to work area.
Dons the appropriate personal protective equipment, descends in the elevator, and walks to the jeep approximately 300 yards.
Wears hardhat with lamp attached while underground, weight is 4 pounds. Wears belt with rescuer, lamp battery, and hand tools (such as volt meter, amp meter, screw driver, channel locks, wire strippers, crimpers, and needle nose pliers) weight approximately 20 pounds. May travel 1 hour to 4 hours by jeep per shift.
While calibrating carbon monoxide monitors and methane monitors may walk more than 3 hours / shift, or up to 5 miles.
2 Sets up power for sections and performs lockout for load center moves or problems.
At a time when the load center is moved or there is a problem on a section, the Electrician will pull the plug for the load center and lockout the power. When the load center is relocated or the section problem corrected, the Electrician is responsible to re-establish power to the area. The Electrician is responsible for checking vacuum breakers and installing section block lights.
3 Calibrates and repairs carbon monoxide monitors and methane monitors.
Carbon monoxide monitors are located every 1,000 feet along the belt line. The Electrician is responsible for inspecting, calibrating using a calibration kit and gas tank and repairing these monitors monthly. 4 Performs weekly maintenance of load center, distribution box and vacuums.

Must also wear a battery operated cap lamp. In case of an emergency will don a PWSCSR (Person Wearable Self-Contained Self Rescuer) to be worn during walk to air shaft and out of the mine. As required by law, the Electrician must walk from the section to the main escapeway twice per year. This distance ranges from 2,000 to 12,000 feet.
The Electrician works underground at a depth of 400 - 800 feet. Temperatures vary. When working near the face the temperature is fairly constant approximately 55o to 60o. While working away from the face, the Electrician would encounter temperatures that would vary depending on above-ground conditions. Near the face and on the beltline there may be wet conditions.
COGNITIVE SKILLS REQUIRED: The Electrician must possess adequate vision, hearing and speech to operate equipment in low light and to safely communicate with co-workers around moving machinery.
