Under general supervision of the Supervising Electrician and working independently or as a team member, the Electrician performs the full range of skilled journey-level electrical work at San José State University. This includes the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and apparatuses across the campus. The incumbent inspects, isolates, troubleshoots, and repairs malfunctions; plans layouts and wiring for new or remodeled installations; and ensures compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
