Specific Accountabilities of the Industrial Electrician:
Production:
Routes (physically monitor/inspect plant pumps, motors, belts, etc.).
Ensure that all field equipment is operating properly; resolve and prevent field problems; perform diagnostic/proactive inspections and repairs as necessary to minimize downtime and optimize equipment operations.
Perform daily inspections, troubleshooting, quality testing, and general labor services in the plant and provide documentation and reporting as required or as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Operate mobile equipment, cement loading, shipping, reclaim and transfer equipment.
Perform basic repairs to facilitate plant operation.
Position will be part of the production rotating shifts and a team member of that shift supporting production.
Mechanical:
Hydraulic & Pneumatic component troubleshooting and replacement.
Drive system components
Basic alignments
Belt tracking
Emergency repair welding
Cutting Torch
Scheduled inspections & work orders.
Lubricate per schedule and as needed.
Electrical:
First responder for all electrical items
Routine plant electrical responsibilities (i.e., start/stop, lockouts, energize/de-energize 4160)
Scheduled inspections
Motor troubleshooting and replacement
Drive troubleshooting and replacement
Switchgear/MCC and control circuits troubleshooting
Cable splicing & termination
Basic Meter and test equipment
Blue print reading
Fuse/breaker/overload replacement

Location/Travel: This position will require travel in/around Fort Collins, CO - up to/within a 200-mile radius. Applicants must be permanently located in/around the office location or be willing to permanently relocate. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.
Work Schedule: Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work maybe required on occasion.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. Job Responsibilities for Commercial and Industrial Electrician:
Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, using a variety of tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
System Upgrades and Modifications: Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements, such as adding outlets or equipment.
Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure the safety of the work environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
Emergency Response: Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring quick response and resolution of critical issues.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is a component of the Electrical n Division of BLS Electrical (BLSE) and reports directly to the Crew Foreman. Incumbent will provide a full range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a construction environment. Continually participate in ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, company profit and personal job mastery. All jobs shall be conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
Requirements
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and oversee project scope and deliverables while managing the constraints.
Create clear and attainable project objectives and directly oversee project quality.
Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to contractual agreements and within budget.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
Ensure the implementation, communication, and endorsement of the health and safety policy.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.
Always demonstrate a high personal example of health and safety standards and in all places.
Be familiar with the provisions of the OSHA and MSHA Health and Safety Acts, federal and state regulations as they apply to work areas under your control.
Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulation publications, as applicable.
Perform any other duties or assignments as directed by BLSE Management.
Mentor Apprentices from beginning to end of assignment to ensure quality work and facilitate learning.
Use appropriate hand tools, power tools and testing equipment to properly complete a job.
Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems.
Conduct jobs in accordance with relevant codes and site-specific procedures while following applicable safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED or higher level; Electrical schooling preferred.
Four (4) years electrical experience in a construction environment.
Valid Drivers License with safe driving record
Electrical Journeyman's license for state of work
Able to communicate effectively (ie reading, writing, speaking) in the English Language
Must display the following characteristics: Honest, Professional, Competent, Organized, Attention to Detail, Dependable, Thorough, Team Oriented, Safety Conscious and have a Strong work ethic.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
ADDITIONAL
Able to provide your own hand tools.
Able to read blueprints.
Able to guide and direct an apprentice from beginning to end of a job.
Competent documentation skills
Able to work in both commercial and industrial environments.
