Job Description
Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business.
The Maintenance Electrician will work on C Shift (Th, Fri, Sat and every other Wednesday 6am to 6pm) and will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled.
Must have experience in running EMT, Rigid conduit, threading and bending EMT form 1/2" to 2", (kicks, saddles, 90's, offsets, etc.).
Must have experience with repair, installs, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment. With an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems
Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC Controlled Equipment. Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
Work on your own and be as professional as possible completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books
Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety
Salary Range: $45-48 with a 10% shift differential based on education, experience and qualifications of the applicant

Overview
As a Certified Electrician 2 at Sunrun you will be working on a variety of projects from training and mentoring other Electricians, installing solar systems, performing work for our existing customers, and learning more about energy storage and other new technology.
Responsibilities
Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer's residential property
Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
Complete solar battery installations as assigned
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
Safely plan and complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
Work with branch team and home owners to fulfill any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment
Mentor others to enhance their overall electrical skills
Train on Sunrun established best practices as well as prepare team members for future positions at Sunrun
Work cross-functionally with license holders, AHJ inspectors, and crew members to serve as a subject matter expert on electrical work
Solve for recurring quality issues and failed inspections to increase the installation pass rate

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year solar electrical installation and repair experience required
Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC
Working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels required

Must possess a valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local and state requirements, e.g. wireman license

Primary Responsibilities:
Take lead on and support with repair/maintenance and the general installation of Mission Critical systems throughout New England, including but not limited to: Security (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion), A/V, & Wireless Communication
Perform low and medium voltage cable installation, cable management, cable terminations, device installation, and other assigned project duties as required
Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state regulations
Troubleshoot, diagnose, test and repair systems and/ or equipment as necessary
Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, and electrical distribution equipment
Produce accurate documentation for the project as required including: system commissioning reports, Test Reports, As builts, system certification, etc.
Provide daily project status updates, as required, and communication to the Project Management team
Summarize, report and present non-compliant attributes of a project, site, or system
Think clearly and logistically to make accurate decisions based on personal and professional judgement and verifiable criteria
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2-4 years' experience with the installation and commissioning of medium voltage and low voltage/ Data Communication systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Minimum of 2-4 years' experience related to all job duties of this position is required

MA Journeyman Class B required

Reliable transportation and a valid drivers' license required
