These power distribution and building systems are primarily composed of, but not limited to: conduits, conductors, junction boxes, pull boxes, related switches, power outlets, transformers, distribution panels, electric motors, electric motor starters and controls, light dimmers, digitally networked lighting controls, fire alarms, automatic transfer switches, as well as a wide variety of electrical lighting fixtures, equipment, and appliances. Conditions of Employment: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance. This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the civilian drug-testing program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is to (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if required, submit to urinalysis testing. Position Summary The Electrical Apprentice is an entry-level role that offers hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the electrical industry. Project Preparation & Setup Read and interpret plans and specifications for assigned projects. Prepare work areas for the installation of equipment. Installation Support Assist with all aspects of commercial electrical installation according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit. Assist in mounting and strapping conduit. Connect wiring and equipment per code and job specifications.
