Replaces coils, resistors, rheostats, relays, etc. Adjusts contactors, relays, bus rigging, etc. Reconnects terminal leads, panels boards and distribution feeders. In emergencies, shunts out defective coils in order to get equipment back in operation. Changes DC motor characteristics by shunting DC coils, etc. Installs conduit, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures, and wires and connects all types of electrical equipment as required for new installations or replacement of facilities. Makes all required splices and connector joints. Adjusts all new equipment for proper operating characteristics. Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition. Clean up all work areas. Performs any other duty supervisor assigns. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 3 years of electrical work experience or successful completion of an electronics curriculum from an accredited program. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and drawings. Must have experience trouble shooting and repairing electrical problems. Computer experience is desired, previous PLC experience required. Must be able to wire motor control circuits and push-button circuits.
