What this job involves - The Electrician will complete work orders, preventive maintenance and repairs all electrical-related items inside of distribution center. This will include hands-on work to complete the necessary work within Jones Lang LaSalle standards and guidelines.
What is the day to day?
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of electrical systems, panels, and equipment
Diagnose electrical issues using specialized testing equipment and implement effective repairs
Install, maintain and repair lighting fixtures, motors, transformers, and distribution systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to complete electrical work
Collaborate with facility teams to develop maintenance schedules that minimize disruption to building occupants
Respond to emergency electrical situations and implement appropriate solutions
Document completed work, parts used, and maintain accurate service records
Required:
Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings
2+ years of experience working in a commercial and/or industrial environment
Must be capable of working in a team environment, working alone or with other trades outside of your own individual trade.
Ability to work 12-hour shift (both day and night shifts open)
Preferred:
Experience working in a GMP environment
2-3 years' validated CMMS experience
Knowledge of BAS (Building Automation System) or QBAS (Qualified Building Automation System)
Work Environment:
Working inside of automated manufacturing distribution center
Shift: 12-hour day shift, 6 AM to 6:30 PM, Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday, Week 2: Sunday to Wednesday

The Location

Hours
This position will be based on 1st shift (5:00 am-1:00 pm), however we will also consider candidates interested in working a split shift covering 1st and 2nd shifts. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE: Install and maintain a variety of electrical equipment including fixtures, conductors, raceway systems, grounding systems, panel-boards, transformers, motors, controls, over-current protection, fire detection and alarm systems, appliances, communications systems, actuating devices, security-related components, and other equipment.
DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING: Maintain records of test reports, blueprints, as-built plans, and other documentation. TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR: Correct problems in electrical systems by troubleshooting circuits, replacing defective equipment such as over-current protection, wiring, motors, starters, and other related electrical parts, and removing items from power supply to halt unsafe operation.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM: Implement an effective preventive maintenance program using the site's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, repairs and adjustments on systems and controls, monitor and record effectiveness of maintenance activities and take corrective actions.
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS: Perform special tasks requiring similar duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must be a Journeyman Electrician or nearly complete with the Journeyman path.
Must have the training acquired of a 5 year period.

Job Duties:
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice is responsible to assist in the repair and maintenance of the equipment and plant buildings.
This includes all mechanical, electrical, welding/fabricating, and hydraulics/pneumatics equipment.
They will learn the operation of the equipment to maintain and increase the efficiency of the equipment. Continual training in different areas of trade skills and the equipment sequences will allow the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice to perform their duties successfully.
Learning to problem solve, pay attention to detail and time management is critical for finding the best repair solution.
Verbal or written communication skills and teamwork are necessary when interacting with all other company personnel.
Safety is for life and technicians will perform all safety procedures and attend training to further their knowledge.

Mechanical
Electrical
Welding and Fabrication
Hydraulic, pneumatic systems * Work with others to repairing breakdowns as required with proper documentation.
Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery per work order instructions.
Complete Problem log sheets, Maintenance repair tags, and other required maintenance records.
Receive and pass on information to previous and post shift personnel verbally and using information white boards.
Get assignment from Lead Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. * If assigned complete daily “EQUIPMENT INSPECTION” to look for signs of possible failure, safety violations, or areas to be cleaned.
Preform locks out/tag out, confined space, and hot work permits as required.

JOB DUTIES
Installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial electrical equipment and services

Qualifications
To qualify for a High Voltage Electrician your resume and supporting documentation must support:

The SOE and minimum qualifications for this position is:
* Ability to perform the common tasks of the job to be filled but under close supervision, such as basic knowledge of the high voltage electrical trade
