You will serve as an ELECTRICIAN LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Duties Help You will serve as an Expert Electrician leading a group to ensure work assignments are completed. You will be responsible for the repair, overhaul, installation, modification, calibration, and test of electrical systems and equipment on naval surface ships and submarines, both nuclear and non-nuclear. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot various types of equipment utilized to manufacture and overhaul surface and sub-surface ship's components. You will disassemble, clean, and replace visually found defective parts, reassemble, check for more faulty components, replaces the same, align, calibrate and check out equipment using known standards and test equipment. You will assure that all work assignments of the groups are carried out on any of the three shifts as assigned.
