What You'll Do
Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC drives, up to 575 vac, AC motors, and machine control centers.
Work with PLCs (Allen Bradley Rockwell), computers, and electronics.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems using blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Run conduit, wire systems, and support PLC programming and upgrades.
Maintain, replace and program photo eyes.
Troubleshoot, replace, and scale Temposonics and encoders.
Qualifications:
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
Industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
Basic computer and networking skills.
Experience with variable speed 700 and 755 AC & DC drives.
Strong PLC and trouble shooting skills (Allen Bradley Rockwell knowledge is a plus).
Delta RMC controls experience is a plus.
Willingness to work any shift and perform all essential functions of this position (including working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating in dusty or extreme environments).

Compensation: Your wages and benefits are set by the labor agreement between Weyerhaeuser and the union representing employees at this work site. We are targeting a pay range of $36.715 - 42.930 per hour based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for installation of refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building code and proper piping practices.
Provides support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.
Provides the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
Provides construction support by welding and slip hosing copper pipes, and assists the foreman as needed on the job.
Provides support by handing cooler box coils and installing new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodeling existing supermarket refrigeration systems.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.

Education and Experience Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED

Assists with installation of electrical systems per blueprints, construction drawings, and NEC codes in commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

Requirements
Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to drive a company truck or van.
Entry level experience with electrical repairs, maintenance and installation techniques as defined by assisting with the installation of wiring, outlets, light fixtures, and circuit breakers. Supporting licensed electricians with routine maintenance or simple repairs. Understanding how to safely shut off and restore power when needed.
Entry level knowledge of The National Electrical Code (NEC) and why it is important for safety and compliance.
Entry level ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material including but not limited to understand basic electrical symbols and layouts. Follow simple wiring diagrams to assist with installations. Read instructions for equipment or tools.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations as defined by using basic math to measure distances, calculate loads or amperage, and determine wire sizes. Converting units (e.g., inches to feet, watts to kilowatts). Applying formulas related to voltage, resistance, and current (Ohm's Law). Comfortable with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Novice understanding and ability to diagnose and resolve problems as defined by Identify basic issues like tripped breakers, faulty switches, or non-working outlets. Use simple diagnostic tools under supervision (e.g., voltage testers, multimeters). Follow a logical troubleshooting process with guidance from a journeyman or master electrician. Ask the right questions and document findings.

ESR's Apprenticeship program develops a sustainable core workforce of journeypersons with the full body of on-the-job and trade knowledge necessary to fill vital workforce gaps. Our Apprenticeships provide employment, education and training of technical skills under the guidance of experienced journeyman and technical experts. Our structured program provides thoughtful opportunities for each apprentice to learn all the phases of a selected craft. This is done by focused tracking of assignments and classroom instruction that enables the apprentice to learn and demonstrate competence in the various job assignments within the trade. Our classroom curriculum meets the rigorous requirements of State of Washington Department of Labor & Industries. These college level classes are generally held on site after or before the apprentice's regular paid work hours. Classroom hours are unpaid and, on the apprentice's, own time. A normal academic load is about three hours of classroom instruction per week. Apprentices are required to maintain minimum cumulative average of 80% and failure of any course will result in removal from the program. Homework is assigned in each class and it is the responsibility of the apprentice to complete the assignments outside the normal workday.
What You will Do
Depending on the trade, apprentices (or pre-apprentices) will learn to build vessel structures, hull components, piping systems, machinery installations and alignments, and prepare surfaces for painting or structural welding. The exact functions and responsibilities will vary by trade, and cannot be enumerated for all trades in this posting. For illustration, however, Marine Pipefitters fabricate and install all the piping systems on the ship. Ship Fitter/ Fabricators fabricate and install the many pieces that make up the hull of the ship and install equipment foundations and miscellaneous structural pieces. Welders weld everything for the ships, including the hull, foundations on the ship, and miscellaneous items. The general description of each of our trades can be found on our web site. AND

Four (4) years of professional experience as a journey level electrician to include all the following:
* Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), motor, pump and well controls, standby generator systems, and Program Logistic Controller (PLC).
Two (2) years of professional experience in in leadership or supervisory duties including:
* Conflict resolution, training and development, planning and assigning work, evaluating performance.
Two (2) years of professional experience using Microsoft Office Suite such as:
* Word, Excel and Outlook.
Certifications/Licenses:
Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications, our ideal applicant will possess one or more of the following:
* Valid Washington State Administrator or Master Electrician certification.
* Knowledge of Washington State Purchasing rules and regulations.

Job Description:
* Troubleshoot electrical equipment throughout the plywood mill.
* Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
* Measure, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit.
