Knowledge of the standard methods, materials and equipment used in the electrical trade; principles of electricity and basic electronics and their application; and the National Electrical Code and its application.
Ability to learn and use GIS, SCADA, Microsoft Office Suite and most common business software programs.
Ability to exert regular and sustained heavy physical effort with an emphasis on climbing and balancing which also involves stooping, crouching, and lifting, pushing and pulling moderately heavy objects and materials, 20 to 50 pounds, and may occasionally involve objects and materials up to 125 pounds.
Position is performed in both inside and outside environmental conditions, under fluctuating and extreme temperatures and weather conditions, with some exposure to noise, fumes, chemicals, oils, electrical current, heights and confined spaces.

Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) Class C Drinking Water Operator Certification is preferred.
Possess a valid Illinois Class A or B commercial driver's license (CDL) with air brake and tanker endorsements, or have the ability to obtain a commercial learner's permit within two months of hire and CDL within six months of hire.
Salary: Hiring rate: $35.88 per hour. Full range: $35.88 through $51.98 per hour.

Summary
Electrical Workers are separated into 4 classifications/categories, namely Entry Level, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. In general, Electrical Workers are responsible for wiring, assembling, connecting, and testing (specifically not including testing required during the commissioning process) electrical components on railcars under varying levels of supervision (depending on classification) while following drawings, schematics, procedures, and other written documentation, instructions, directives, and protocols. Responsible for the safety objectives, goals, and program of the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations. Promotes safe work practices as well as maintains and fosters a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
Job Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Repair, install and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems, controls, lighting fixtures, kitchen equipment, heating systems, power stations, vehicles and ride equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical apparatus.
* Install or modify electrical systems and components.
* Update drawings and schematic diagrams and assist in the selection of electrical components and material.
* Assist with Park Operation responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* High School Diploma or GED with a Trade School certification or currently in a trade program.
* Must be able to perform, or be willing to learn, the following:
* Troubleshoot various electrical problems on rides, controls, and electrical equipment.
* Install and bend all types of piping systems.
* Work from schematic wiring diagrams.
* Use testing instruments related to electrical work.
* Must be familiar with current electrical codes.
* Must provide hand tools for daily use.
* Must be able to climb and work at various heights and some heavy lifting may be required.
