Other comparable duties may be assigned. * Install electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures in conformance with company specifications and electrical codes. * Install, maintain, and repair power supply to all areas of facility, managing time in accordance with production priority as determined by processing schedule. * Diagnose and repair electronic equipment. * Diagnose and read programs for programmable logic controller equipped machines using personal computer and applicable software as required. * Upgrade/retrofit existing equipment with newer electronic technology. * Design or change programmable logic controller logic circuits to enhance operation of equipment. * Install electrical distribution equipment. * Read, draw, and interpret specifications, blueprints, and electrical diagrams. * Analyze, diagnose, test, and repair or replace malfunctioning equipment, machinery, and apparatus. Consult with co-workers, supervisor, and plant management as necessary to resolve difficulties. * Repair and/or recondition electric motors. * Repair or replace faulty electrical components. * Bend and install conduit for two and three wire control systems in compliance with electrical wiring code. * Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connect cable and wires between machines and equipment. * Diagnose and repair or replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. * Communicate and maintain records of activities in accordance with company specifications and electrical codes. * Perform duties without other electrical assistance on shift. * Lead electrical apprentices and journeyman electricians in performance of job duties, as required. * Maintain safe and sanitary work area. Electrician - Journeyman License or Supervisor License required JOB PURPOSE: This position will be responsible for the day to day performance of the plant maintenance. This includes overseeing Electrical and Maintenance operations in a safe and efficient manner and includes responsibility for technical training, determining work load, project management and coaching and development of team members. The successful execution of these responsibilities will result in providing a high level of services to the production team; improve plant productivity, which will ultimately result in the success of the Plant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Electrical License Required - Journeyman License or Supervisor License * Perform tasks and PM's related to Electrical needs of facility * Leads safely by following SOP's, LOTO, PPE's, Fall Protection and Confined Spaces to achieve plant and departmental goals. * Perform metal fabrication, cutting, welding and finishing. * Performs Electrical PM's on Baggers and equipment * Electrical knowledge preferred of bulk flour systems. (Transfer blowers, air-locks, diverter valves, sifters, etc) * PLC Experience preferred - can be trained * Use shop and hand tools safely and properly. * Climb ladders, access platforms from 6 to 75 feet, occasionally. Lift, push, and pull using proper techniques up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 200 pounds occasionally. Work in confined spaces, underneath, over and next to moving equipment safely. * Can walk and stand for work periods for up to 10 hours when needed with 2 - 15 minute breaks and 1 half hour lunch break.
