As an Electrician you will:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Electrical Apprentice. GreenSpark is happy to announce that they will be sponsoring an employee to be an electrical apprentice through a partnership with ABC. The Electrical Apprentice will work alongside experienced electricians and solar experts to learn and develop the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in the electrical industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about electrical work and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
This Electrical Apprentice position is part of the GreenSpark installation team which is responsible for the highest quality solar PV installations ranging from residential scale to multi-megawatt utility scale systems, electric service upgrades, electric vehicle chargers and battery storage systems. This position includes, but is not limited to, traveling and working with our solar install teams in Commercial, C&I and Residential settings. Apprentices will continue to report to their primary field team manager however will be dually supervised by the EPMs and utilized on select Prevailing Wage job sites throughout the business.

Individuals in this position will be registered to participate in the GreenSpark Energy Electrical Apprenticeship Program through our educational partner, ABC, a program that culminates in a journeyperson certificate and the education to prepare you for electrical licensure. Note: (A journeyperson certificate differs from licensure - licensure requires specific testing depending upon the locality). Through hands-on training and classroom education, you will become a well-rounded and highly capable electrical professional.
GreenSpark will bear the bulk of the educational costs. Some classroom fees and materials may apply. Any penalties associated with failure to attend classes will remain the responsibility of the apprentice and not GreenSpark solar. In order to meet apprenticeship and licensing requirements, participants are also required to commit to 180 hours of unpaid schooling per year for five years. Previous qualifying experience and education will be evaluated through the DOL to reduce the required program length.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you should have mastered the fundamental skills of installing, repairing, testing, adjusting, and maintaining electrical equipment. You should be ready to work on residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. You will leave the electrical apprenticeship program with a qualified ”journeyperson electrician” certificate.This is not a program to earn a license but it will prepare you to take electrical exams both on the National and local levels.
Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities:

The Electrical Apprentice will work alongside experienced electricians and solar experts to learn and develop the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in the electrical industry. This Electrical Apprentice position is part of the GreenSpark installation team which is responsible for the highest quality solar PV installations ranging from residential scale to multi-megawatt utility scale systems, electric service upgrades, electric vehicle chargers and battery storage systems. This position includes, but is not limited to, traveling and working with our solar install teams in Commercial, C&I and Residential settings. Apprentices will continue to report to their primary field team manager however will be dually supervised by the EPMs and utilized on select Prevailing Wage job sites throughout the business.

Individuals in this position will be registered to participate in the GreenSpark Energy Electrical Apprenticeship Program through our educational partner, ABC, a program that culminates in a journeyperson certificate and the education to prepare you for electrical licensure. Note: (A journeyperson certificate differs from licensure - licensure requires specific testing depending upon the locality). Through hands-on training and classroom education, you will become a well-rounded and highly capable electrical professional.
GreenSpark will bear the bulk of the educational costs. Some classroom fees and materials may apply. Any penalties associated with failure to attend classes will remain the responsibility of the apprentice and not GreenSpark solar. In order to meet apprenticeship and licensing requirements, participants are also required to commit to 180 hours of unpaid schooling per year for five years. Previous qualifying experience and education will be evaluated through the DOL to reduce the required program length.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you should have mastered the fundamental skills of installing, repairing, testing, adjusting, and maintaining electrical equipment. You should be ready to work on residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. You will leave the electrical apprenticeship program with a qualified ”journeyperson electrician” certificate.This is not a program to earn a license but it will prepare you to take electrical exams both on the National and local levels.

We seek an Electrician with experience in new construction to work at our newest high-profile projects in West Henrietta and Pittsford.
Duties
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards
Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues
Work on both low and high voltage systems as required by project specifications
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local regulations and safety standards
Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience as a residential electrician or construction electrician
Experience with installation, assembly, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices, following electrical layout drawings and building permits
Vocational or technical training in electrical installation and maintenance preferred
Strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems
Preferred safety training; OSHA 10 hour, NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout for safe installation and work practices
Experience in new residential construction
Attention to detail in all tasks performed
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Understand and follow OSHA requirements
Valid NYS driver's license and own transportation
The pay range for this role is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for the role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

TITLE: Industrial Electrician Mechanic PAY PLAN: Hourly - Second and Third Shift Positions
Safely perform electrical and mechanical repair work, trouble shooting, routine, and preventive maintenance on assigned production lines and support equipment.
WORK PERFORMED:
Determine the cause of electrical and/or mechanical breakdowns on assigned manufacturing equipment and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time. Able to diagnose and repair advanced electrical issues.
Completely assemble or disassemble assigned production lines or support equipment as required for repairs or installations.
Make all necessary electrical and/or mechanical adjustments to assigned production lines or support equipment to insure proper operation.
Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and oil, grease, clean, repair, or modify it in performing preventive maintenance routines.
Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required through group leader, stockroom, or supervisor.
Effectively and safely, use a wide variety of electrical test equipment, common hand tools and all shop machines (including welders).
Perform all tasks within established safety and maintenance procedures.
Enter in all work through CMMS system and complete all assignments as directed by supervisor.
Communicate with supervisor and production leads about on-going issues and ability to provide resolution with proper documentation and root cause analysis.
Complete all required safety work orders and report back to supervisor upon completion.
Follow all safety guidelines set forth by department, plant and company.
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION
3-5 years industrial electrical maintenance or relative experience
Must have good theoretical and applied understanding of electrical theory, mechanical theory, and the manufacturing process.
Able to lead, coach, guide and teach trouble-shooting and basic electrical knowledge to lesser skilled maintenance co-workers.
Able to read blueprints, schematics, specifications and building plans.
Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Able to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
Requires attention to detail. Follows “Codes of Safe Work Practices” for all work performed.
Capable of and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedures.
Good communication and organizational skills
Good mathematical skills.
Continuous learning is expected.
Able to work overtime & holidays when required.
Must provide personal hand tools.
