Also focuses on industrial electrical distribution, industrial controls and troubleshooting of electrical systems and devices throughout the facility to ensure safe, efficient operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Install rigid conduit (bending and threading). Pull wire into raceways. Termination of wire at components. Install motor drive devices (Soft Start, VFD, Full Voltage, etc.). Troubleshoot 480-volt 3-phase electrical distribution systems. Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment. Build industrial control panels from schematics and upgrade outdated systems and components as needed. Understand Arc Flash ratings and recommended practices. Recommend changes, modifications or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance. Identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on electric motors, pneumatic diverters, conveyor systems and production machines. Performs facility assignments as required Qualifications Just as important as your experience and skills will be the following characteristics and competencies: Ability to troubleshoot most equipment in facility. Ability to complete full changeover unassisted. Ability to work independently. Ability to install and repair plumbing. Ability to repair pneumatic equipment. Basic compressor knowledge.
