This position is responsible for insuring the integrity and safe working condition of all shop and billboard mounted electrical components/systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Installation and repair of wiring and conduit within the scope of the NEC (National Electrical Code) Repair and maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment. (Time Clock) Able to set and program time clocks. Planning for new or modified installations to minimize waste of material, provide access for future maintenance, lock all disconnects when leaving sign. Install equipment such as lighting fixtures, relays, ballast, breakers disconnects circuit breakers and fuses. Fasten in place with screws or bolts. Use the lock out tag out method. Identify and promptly report any unsafe conditions observed. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT: Climbing and working at elevated heights in different weather and heat conditions sitting, walking, standing, speaking, hearing, reading, kneeling, lifting, carrying a minimum of 50 lbs., multiple concurrent tasks, frequent interruptions, verbal and written communication, detailed work and confidentiality. EQUIPMENT USED: Safety harness with lanyard and other personal protective equipment, various ladders, a multi-meter to determine voltage, power tools and hand tools. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 2 years minimum electrical experience Ability without fearing to climb and work safely at elevated heights, 60ft or more. Read blueprints and schematic. Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems. Should be a licensed electrician or be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to meet the definition of a qualified person in a sign/billboard work environment. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities This position is responsible for performing necessary skills and demonstrate knowledge relating to the electrical field. To ensure the property is maintained to provide quest experience. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: * Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools * Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. * Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components Qualifications * Minimum 3-5 years' experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of commercial electrical systems preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. * Must have strong knowledge of testing equipment such as an ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter and testing lamp. * Must be able to read blue prints and understand the operation of main switchgear, distribution systems and emergency transfer switches. * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Must have good communication skills. * Must be safety conscious. * Must be able to work as a team player to accomplish the goals of the Engineering Department. Work Environment: * Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
