About the Role: Qualified candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician. Hours: 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Monday - Friday with overtime as required including weekends and holidays. Initially, the schedule will be on a 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for training (approximately one month) then it moves to the 2nd shift

As a Residential Service Technician, this individual will have residential service and sales experience and will have the ability to take care of customers professionally, estimating, offering options and capturing the sale. Our Residential Service Technician will be engaging with our highly valuable customers in their homes on a daily basis, so it is vital that they can show them how much we care by being courteous and helpful. What you Need to be Qualified for the Residential Service Technician Position
In order to be qualified for the Residential Service Technician position, a current certified Journeyman's license is required. Our Residential Service Technician is clean cut with no tattoos or piercings unless they can be covered or taken out. They have great customer service skills with excellent and proven sales skills. Our Residential Service Technician is able to estimate, sell and upsell products that our customers need and can overcome objections professionally. They have an optimistic attitude, is a great team member, takes ownership. They are very good at troubleshooting existing homes, service and repairs. Our Residential Service Technician is able to lift 75 lbs and able to physically get into attics and under houses. They are able to communicate with customers to build trust and value and are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. NxStar and Tech-Daddy training a plus. They must be able to explain electrical problems and solutions in layman's terms and make sure the job is completely cleaned up before leaving ANY job. They keep their van well stocked and organized to Maine Electric standards. Our Residential Service Technicians are able to work long hours, averaging 50-60 a week, some weekends and be on call rotating basis. They are on time with a clean and pressed uniform, shoes shined, and clean shaven. They participate in daily technician role-playing, verbal and written training for ongoing excellence. They must have a current California Driver's License, clean driving record and are able to pass a California background and drug test.

About the Role:
U.S. Pipe is seeking a 2nd shift Electrician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and wiring all electrical apparatus, devices, and circuits, of any voltage in the plant or assigned area.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Receives wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done.
* Analyzes all types of drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment to determine material or replacement needs and to select a logical approach to "trouble shooting" and repair problems.
* Plans details of working procedure to affect the most logical approach to the job.
* Considers all safety precautions and the proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations.
* Determines necessary tools and equipment.
* Plans and performs work requiring a thorough working knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of equipment.
* Locates source of trouble of any type of electrical equipment by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation.

Department Overview
The people of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.
Position Summary
This classification is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 1245, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E.
This position may be subject to Joint Apprentice Training Committee (JATC) review and approval. Provisional hires will be required to participate in targeted training to achieve journey-level knowledge of electrician roles and responsibilities.
General Construction (GC)
For GC positions individuals must be able to travel and transfer to a new headquarters upon request at any time, throughout the entire PG&E service territory with no guarantees as to how long you will be away from home.
* Reviews, verifies, and modifies prints and electric schematics. Lays out materials for installation, such as conduit, steel, wires, junction boxes, tools, etc. Places orders for supplies as needed.
* Moves equipment to staging area. Performs safety preparation including performing high voltage protective grounding.
* Uses power tools and hand tools to install equipment and systems, such as wire terminations, high voltage equipment, overhead and underground electrical and conduit systems, steel structures, control panels, metering and protection systems, air switches. Sets up rigging. Pulls wire.
* May operate construction equipment, if qualified, such as crane truck, man lift, boom truck, bucket truck as part of installation, excavation, and compaction. Operates forklift to move and reposition equipment.
* Uses hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, whackers, and shovels to remove and replace soil.
* Removes old high voltage equipment, structures and other impediments prior to installation using heavy equipment, rigging and other tools.
* Drives equipment on the job site (substation). May drive equipment from one job site to another. May drive a company vehicle to pick up tools or other equipment away from the job site.
* Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition. Removes trash, debris, and excess materials. Picks up and reorganizes tools.

PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.
