Position Overview

Position Overview
The Lead Low-Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of structured cabling, custom-integrated audio/video systems, lighting controls, motorized shading, security systems, and home automation technologies.
This role combines technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. The Lead Technician works closely with project managers/coordniators, clients, and other trades to deliver exceptional results in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
System Installation
Lead the installation of low-voltage systems, from rough-in, through trim, into final installation.
Ensure all phases of work meet design specifications, industry standards, and project timelines.
Technical Leadership
Serve as the primary on-site contact for project progress, technical issues, and quality assurance.
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to Field Technicians to ensure team success.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues during the installation and testing phases.
Project Collaboration
Cooperate with the Project Manager/Coordinator and other stakeholders to plan work schedules, material delivery, and project milestones.
Communicate project updates, challenges, and requirements to the Project Manager/Coordinator.
Assist with equipment programming, testing, and commissioning to ensure full system functionality.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of installation work, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
