This is a position for a four year Electrical Maintainer Apprenticeship, with the potential to continue employment as an Electrical Maintainer after the apprenticeship is completed. This entry level maintenance position will be assigned to one of our three Steel facilities in Stark County, Ohio (Gambrinus, Harrison or Faircrest Steel plants). Employees in this position are responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and educational tasks including, but not limited to, class room study, on the job training, and assisting journeymen in completion of electrical maintenance tasks. Employees in this position are responsible for but not limited to the following: Receive and execute work assignment, using instructions, drawings and sketches for diagnosis, repair, of steel mill related equipment. Utilizing preventative/predictive maintenance techniques to maintain equipment reliability and eliminate equipment break downs. Work in the field or shop area as required Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and Pneumatic systems Utilize PLC's in the performance of troubleshooting activities. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and control logic systems. Replaces and align electric motors and brakes. Perform preventative & predictive maintenance Work on High voltage switchgear and transformers Troubleshoots, dismantles, cleans, inspects, rebuilds, repairs, replaces, installs, assembles, adjust, aligns, and lubricates electrical devices. Utilizes the computerized maintenance management system as necessary to aid in performing predictive, preventive and repair tasks. Ability to cut, burn, weld and braze metals Operates overhead electric crane and mobile equipment to lift and transport materials Operates heavy mobile equipment Performs miscellaneous work such as filling out standard forms, lubricating equipment, rigging parts & equipment for movement or lifting, and keeping tools, equipment and work area clean and orderly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, inspect, and repair industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, controls, lighting, and instrumentation Troubleshoot electrical issues involving PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, sensors, and automated systems Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic diagrams, and technical manuals Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability Test electrical systems using appropriate tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, thermal cameras, etc.) Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies Lockout/tagout (LOTO) equipment prior to performing maintenance or repairs Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to resolve equipment issues Document work performed, parts used, and maintenance activities in CMMS or maintenance logs Assist with equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new installations Respond to emergency electrical issues during production or off-hours as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations Participate in safety training and audits Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately Required Qualifications Journeyman or Master Electrician certification/license High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and safety standards Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment Preferred Qualifications Experience with PLCs Experience with VFDs, automation, and industrial control systems Electrical experience in manufacturing, utilities, or wastewater treatment facilities CMMS experience Arc flash training or certification Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and industrial environments Manual dexterity to work with tools, wiring, and small components Work Environment Industrial facility with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, heat, and electrical hazards May require shift work, overtime, weekends, or on-call availability Use of required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, arc flash gear, and hearing protection

Seeking a Maintenance Electrician who is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical power distribution, automation, and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial equipment and facility.
