The Residential Generator Apprentice plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and installation of residential backup generators. Selected candidates will rotate through 4 different skills (Interiors, Sheetmetal, Mechanic and Avionics) every 4-6 months. Candidates will also receive GEN FAM training, GMM and on-the-job experience. The goal of this apprenticeship is a future position as a QC Inspector. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Only perform those duties for which they have been properly trained. Maintain personal tools in a condition that will not compromise the condition of the product being maintained. Replace simple items such as, batteries, filters and similar accessories, using basic mechanic hand tools. Remove / install inspection plates, cowling, engine covers, floor boards, and related items.
