The Operations Apprentice is responsible for assisting experienced operators in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility. This position requires working on a rotating shift. Minimum Requirements Requirements: Must have knowledge of the principles and methods used in the treatment and disposal of wastewater and biosolids, as well as understand and comprehend the laws, rules and regulations. Must be knowledgeable in the occupational hazards and the safety precautions to be exercised in the treatment of wastewater and biosolids, as well as demonstrate the ability to learn and retain technical information. Mechanical and/or problem-solving aptitude, as well as computer literacy, is required. Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand English sufficiently to perform the functions of the position. Must be able to understand and execute oral and written directions.
