RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists electricians by performing assigned tasks under the direct supervision of an assigned electrician. Must keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion, maintain a clean work area at all times, demonstrate safe work habits and exhibit proper care of all tools and equipment. Experience in commercial, residential, and industrial electricity is preferred. TOOLS REQUIRED: Lineman's pliers with crimper, standard flat head and Phillips screwdrivers, wire strippers, razor knife, side cutters (pliers), hammer, tool pouch, voltage tester, plug tester, and a tape measure. A cordless drill is recommended but not required. WORKING CONDITIONS: May require working in all-weather elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) depending on job location and/or time of year. Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.). Must be able to work from all ladder types (i.e. step ladders up to 16', "A" frame ladders, and extension ladders). Must wear personal protective equipment (i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, safety harness, and respirator) as required. Must be able to work assigned hours as well as overtime, as required.
