Job Summary
The Produce Apprentice reports directly to the store manager and indirectly to the assistant store managers and shift leaders. This position can be responsible for duties such as cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and monitoring the produce department. Responsibilities
Consistently meets or exceeds set standards involving the handling, stocking, and the maintaining of all produce products
Stocks product on platforms, shelving, peg hooks and in baskets or refrigerated cases as needed
Handles power and non-powered equipment and hand tools to move stock as needed after properly trained
To get extra hours, would need to assist in the meat department, stocking, and/or cashiering.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age
A High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to regularly lift 80lbs
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
* Completion of Apprenticeship Program OR Journey-workers certificate in subject area OR Bachelor's degree in related field and five years direct occupational experience.
* At a minimum, occupational experience has to have occurred at least 1 year within the last 5 years.
* Occupational experience may include positions such as:
* Electrical and Instrumentation (E/I) Technician or Journey-level E/I Technician

Position Description:
The HVAC Technician Apprentice position is a part-time apprentice role. They will attend our in-house HVAC installation classes on two days per week and will work as a paid employee in our Operations department the other three days per week. The training program will be completed after 14 weeks, where we will work with our customers, residential HVAC contractors, to place each apprentice as a full-time installation technician. The Essentials Program consists of 224 hours (28 days) of hands-on training with a Johnstone instructor. Our curriculum covers residential applications which can crossover to commercial areas of the industry. The apprentices will gain the essential knowledge and training through hands-on courses to further develop the necessary skills for a successful HVAC career. The apprentices will gain real world experience in the HVAC industry both during our classes and working with our staff to learn about the HVAC equipment and parts we offer to our customers. Important Qualification Note: Candidates must have a clear driving record, a clear criminal record, and be able to pass a drug screening.

Operates the Point of Sale terminal inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail.
Accurately operates the Point of Sale, when required, collecting proper payment following company security procedures and retaining proper change for a variety of transactions.
Explains to the customers "One Hour" processing and expected delivery times.
Shows customers where to pick-up their glasses upon return to the store.
Takes pride in the appearance of the store and ensures visual displays are in accordance with Company provided planograms.
Maintains safe working environment for all associates/customers. Inform management of any potential safety opportunities (broken tiles, furniture, etc.)
Demonstrates safe work practices including the wearing of personal protection equipment in the lab.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent
Part of a sanctioned Apprentice Program
Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder
Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise
Knowledge of current store merchandise
Strong basic math skills
Awareness of current fashion trends
Sales and service skills
Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators
Embrace new technology and change
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Actively studying for LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program
Optical dispensing experience
Previous customer service and retail experience
