The Apprentice Telecom Technician will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems and associated process along side a licensed Telecom Technician. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular attendance at assigned location; may include A/Z office or other project site; Will work with sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows blueprints, insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring. Mitchell Co., Inc. is currently hiring HVAC Apprentices to support our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their HVAC career who is interested in learning about propane heating systems, fuel-based appliances, and energy efficiency solutions. As an HVAC Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of licensed HVAC technicians to assist in the installation and service of propane and HVAC systems. You'll receive hands-on training and mentorship as you develop skills in residential and light commercial heating and cooling, leading to a G2 Journeyperson license. Key Responsibilities: Assist in installing and servicing propane equipment and HVAC systems. Support propane tank installations, regulator setup, gas piping, and leak testing. Aid in HVAC service: Support propane tank installations, regulator setup, gas piping, and leak testing. Maintain safe work practices and follow company safety policies and propane handling procedures. Transport tools, materials and equipment to job sites. Document work performed and communicate with customers and team members in a professional manner. Participate in company-sponsored training and complete CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) modules. Follow local, state, and federal codes, including NFPA, OSHA, and Connecticut building regulations. Ability to obtain a CDL permit within 90 days. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Strong interest in HVAC and propane systems. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or outdoor conditions. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Mechanically inclined and eager to learn. Good communication skills and a team-first attitude. Willingness to learn and take direction.

The Apprentice will work alongside licensed technicians to learn the ins and outs of working on HVAC equipment and expand the skill set. Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following: * Assist licensed technicians with installing, maintaining, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and boiler systems. * Assist with service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant and wiring controls. * Assist techs, however possible, taking the time to get familiar with equipment and proper procedures. * Maintain a clean work environment, gathering all tools and materials at the end of the day. Required Education & Experience: * Diploma from a technical High School. * Valid Driver's License. * Minimum of an OSHA 10 certification. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with varied audiences, e.g., project managers. Physical Demands & Work Environment * Requires physical work, lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds. * Requires the ability to stand, sit, squat, walk and climb during shift. * Exposure to hot & cold temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
