Position - Toolmaker
Location - this apprenticeship will be situated in our Delano, MN location, and will include external training partners within the Twin Cities Metro area.
Eligibility - qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year of manufacturing experience and a basic understanding of the Toolmaking process.
Timeframe - the program is designed to include four years' worth of instruction. This time can be adjusted if a participant has applicable experience and can “test out” of certain components within the program. There is a 500-hour probationary period.
Completion - upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and, when applicable, a Journeyworker card from the Department of Labor and Industry, Apprenticeship Unit.

This is an entry level position that works on a wildland fire module or crew as a Wildland Firefighter (firefighter) executing fire management activities in fire preparedness, fuels management and prevention, and fire suppression, monitoring, and post-fire. Work may also include all hazard and emergency response activities. Fire modules or crews include Hand Crews, Engine Crews, and Helitack Crews. A Wildland Firefighter (GW-03) performs assignments as an entry level wildland firefighter crew member in developing a working knowledge of fire suppression and fuels management techniques, practices, and terminology; may assist in more specialized assignments such as backfire and burnout, mobile and stationary engine attack. A Wildland Firefighter (GW-04) is a trained wildland firefighter. Qualifications
